Mexico on this showing deserve to beat France. Franco needs to get his shooting boots on.

Think the Paddys would have given Mexico a better game than the Frenchies there......

It's safe to say that nation wise the European football as a whole is not healthier than in the nineties, I think.

The american continent seems more solid these days.

Too much playstation and less football in the streets, that's the problem.

I think the world cup as an event has been fantastic. The energy from the hosts has been brilliant, not a bad word to say. The level of football so far has left us wanting more but remember that was only the first round of group games. As you saw tonight the 2nd round of games will probably be better as teams come out more to win. The ball is :censored: yes but Germany knocked it about well, as did Brazil and Argentina.

I dont understand the criticism of the ball. It was made to a spec set by FIFA.

More a case of lack of ball skills under prressure and ballooning it, after all the ball will only go where you send it. Ask Maicon.

Doesn't the altitude affect the flight of the ball too? Anyway these lot get paid silly money to kick a ball about every day. You'd think they can at least learn to adapt to a ball. I know we all like to see spectacular goals but it's only the group stages yet and we have had plenty of drama so im pretty pleased so far.
