They were shyte mate, not good enough.

Domench f'cked up big time with his selection, why the hell did he leave Henry and Malouda out? France never looked like scoring, they reminded me of Liverpool when we have so much possession but no chances. The only players were the best in their team was Toulalan, Evra and Sagna... the others were utter tripe. Uruguay, looked like a really poor side, but they defended superbly, especially their captain Lugano, who I thought was a commanding figure and  defended brilliantly. Kudos goes to Forlan as well, did well for 70 minutes

At least the group is open now. It gives South Africa a good chance of going through now if they can get a win against either of them.

I agree with metalhead, with the players they have they should be among the favorites

Thought Ribery was woeful tonight.
Forlan looked lively and in a better side he would be lethal.
France started well but looked short on ideas.
The manager is clearly clueless, to leave out Nasri and Benzema was crazy and then to not start with their best player on current form Malouda  :no
Glad though because i dont particulaly like them.
First group doesnt look strong at all.
Cant wait for the argies tomorrow and then obviously our game.
Sabre looks like a big lezzer

They started well enough but they didn't take advantage of the extra man. If they had tried to stretch them they might have created more chances. I hear Domonech and Malouda had a bust up yesterday anyway. Id be surprised if France made it past the 2nd round tbh.

What a goal celebration from that Shabalaba today. :p

To be fair he has under performed all season, despite Bayern getting to the EC final. For France though it was clear tonight that they were set up wrong so he was never going to be as effective as he should be. Govou should have buried that early chance still.

What did everyone make of Suraez? 30Mil my :censored:.

Henry is passed it anyway, but yeah Malouda should have started on the right. He left it a little late too when he brought on Gignac.

If those annoying horns are in every game I vote we never EVER have any kind of tournament in South Africa ever again !
