For those old enough to remember them (mid !980s), they had massive Hits such as Relax, Two Tribes, The Power of Love and Welcome to the Pleasure Dome.

They came from Liverpool. Whats the general opinion of them in Liverpool?

I know they were bit "Village People", but I thought there music sounded great. Curious to find out.

Anyways, when did this forum suddenly get so homophobic ? Personalities and sexual preferences aside they banged out a couple of tunes that are 80's icons.

Lost count of how many sh'agfests started with this as an intro

Thanks Frankie

I had a feeling i'd open a can of worms with this one. :help

No i'm not gay, I just wanted to know what  people and Lpool people in general thought of their music.

I think their music SOUNDS great, although I would not be swayed by their lyrical content.

I know they were produced by Trevor Horn (excuse the pun).He also produced Seal, who's music i also really like.

Just noticed I do have alot of gay music in my CD collection. George Michael, Queen, Pet shop boys,..I better stop.

I'm sure a lot of you guys/gals have similar cd collections if the truth be known.

Power of Love is a brilliant song. Holly Johnson, also sang Americanos. Like that one as well.

Anyone remember the speccy game? You couldnt complete it because it crashed !
