Two goals two different reasons. Mellors against Arsenal was sooo special because we were pushing forward and looking like we had them on the ropes. This approach hasnt happened since Roy Evans as under GH we would settle for a point. Dont know about you guys but that proved to me that we are going in the right direction under the right manager. Also being a southerner surounded most of the time bt Arsenal fans it gave me bragging rights, well for ever actually due to the way we won it.
Gerrards against Olympiakos was amazing for its timing, the quality, the celebration, the manager, the players, the fans, the neutral, Andy Gray. It was important for keeping Stevie G, for brining in much needed money, for our status. For some reason when that goal hit the back of the night I began to sob , I couldnt help it, even now it brings a tear to my eye. The only other time thats happened was when king kenny quit and when Thomas scored THAT goal.
The man who came to merseyside from Newcastle, the man who says he's part of Liverpool as much as the Liver building. When he was needed Alan Kennedy was there. And with now just 8 minutes to go it could be that Alan Kennedy has made a little history.
