I just want Xabi to sign for Real now , this is bloody stupid.

Let's be realistic here. Huntelaar is probably the best option, a lot more established than Negredo too.

Just can't wait to see the back of Xabi now.

I do agree ... Futhermore Torres the only striker that we have and the rest all are kids ...

I think the problem Rafa has in selling Alonso now is that if we fall back a little from last season everyone will blame him for selling Alonso.

If it came down to a cash plus player swap for Alonso, Negredo would be my pick ahead of Huntelaar or Van Der Vaart. Given that a striker wouldn't be getting a regular start, I think Negredo would be easier to keep happy than Huntelaar, who I'd expect would want to be playing regularly given his reputation around Europe.

I don't see the point in Van Der Vaart to be honest. He could perhaps play the 'Gerrard role' when Stevie's unavailable or if we had to push Gerrard back to compensate for Alonso going, but we also have Benayoun who could probably do equally as good a job in Stevie's absence.

Probably I'd rather Sneijder over any of those three, I rate him very highly. It seems he's one of the ones Madrid want to keep though. I think he'd be an ideal replacement for Alonso. We might lose Xabi's ability to hold the ball and pick passes, but we'd have goals from central midfield.

But then you are faced with the problem that Negredo might need regular football in order to play well, something which he got last season and something he might not next with us if he comes here.

The same problem will be applied to either striker. Id rather go for the international level proven striker.
