There are a lot of rumours on other sites about Alberto Aquilani as a possible replacement. Does anyone know anything about this guy, whats he like?

Even we had signed Glen Johnson but without Arby, Xabi and Dossena, we are weaker than last year. Actually Dossena is irrelevant but Arby and Xabi are crucial. For those who is hoping for Lucas to step up, good luck. We will be doomed if our best option is Lucas.... I really hope rafa is working on something big cause we lost 2 starting 11 while only had only gotten one back. I know this had drag on for awhile now but other team will going to jag the price up for the replacement since we would have no choice but to pay a premium now. We need quality and not quantity. I don't mind Rafa using the total amount from the sale of the 3 to get one top player either be a forward or direct replacement for Xabi. Not some middle of the pack no name player who can't perform on top club.

im so gutted that xabi wont be with us next season, i guess we should just say thanks for your services and so and smash it in madrid, not against us though!

Do u think people will label xabi as Judas?? i personally wouldnt!

Just on potential replacements, other names which have been mentioned are Cambiasso and Veloso.

Cambiasso is class but I suppose the question is would he really leave Inter who are almost guaranteed winning the title in Italy every year to come to England? I think he's 29 aswell if I'm not mistaken.

Veloso is a pleyer I like who has been linked with English clubs in the past. Infact I saw Bolton linked with him a few weeks ago but that went quiet due to Sporting's valuation of the player.

Just please God not Cattermole. He's the new Robbie Savage :down:

Depends if he wants to win the Champions league, because he has no chance at Inter

He wants to go home, if it had been an English or Italian team chasing him he probably wouldn't leave.

So what do we do now then? Play lucas? Or Steve into midfield? Which means a new striker. Or we try and let Babel go up top with Torres.
