With years You get to know your archenemies, and as  I explained you a while ago, Florentino had to come with names and millions in the moment he announces he's a candidate for chairman

Image

There, Xabi Alonso is an official target of them cúnts.

In the inner pages they even have done the homework of estimating more or less how much would they cost.

In the case of Fabregas, the unveil that Arsenal are asking 60M, and Marca moans about that seeming to be the policy everytime wants a player. They announce that they won't pay that sum for Fabregas.

In the case of Alonso they see the operation easier, because it would cost "only 25 or 30" Millions.

So that was my fear and here it is. I hope Rafa keeps the calmness and don't accept 25M offer.

Rafa has to be clever. Florentino needs names, and needs Spaniards. Rafa has to, either keep Xabi, or rip them off asking 45 Millions. We have to take advantage of precisely Florentino announcing Xabi is an official target.

BTW, if you had doubts they will insist on Alonso, Florentino's right hand will be Valdano. Who was the one that was in the club when Liverpool got Xabi. And since then Valdano has a grudge against Liverpool and Benitez. It will be a personal thing to get Xabi out of Rafa.

So Rafa has to be clever. a 25M offer is too small when Carrick costs 19M.

I hope Rafa keeps Xabi, because if he goes to Madrid that means I will only watch Xabi's football once a year (I have some sort of Allergy to the white shirt of Real Madrid) and in Spanish Squad. Plus, he would be hard to replace. If he has to sell him, it must be for 40-50. No less Rafa.

It all depends on if the homegrown rule comes into effect. That would make the sale of Alonso something to think about. Not under 35 million though.

BTW, in the sub headline you can read "Xabi está casi atado" which means "Xabi is almost tied", which means it's almost done.

Do not take this as a true, they always see all the operations as "almost done". But you can bet they'll attack us.

Them ba.stards are not getting our Xabi. the lad has said he want to stay ,hes happy here , the fans love him, i love him, hes irreplaceble imo, No amount of money can buy us a player with the same talent , im with Scott on this one Rafa needs to just come out an knock it in the head once an for all. An i will be seriously fuming with Rafa if he even thinks about negotiating at all with Madrid,

Sabes who is the other candidate that is running

Irrelevant Nanny, since Florentino has the blessings of Marca.

The other candidate is the former chairman Calderon who has his reputation destroyed. Carlos Sainz, the only decent man of the lot, won't present himself because he knows he can't win. Villar Mir, Palacios and Villalonga won't have any chance.

Quite simply the other candidates know who has Marca's Blessing and I doubt they'll eventually bother to compete.

What a remarkable season Xabi has had for us. He's arguably our best player of the season along with Gerrard. Juve and Madrid can fukk off unless they splash 50-60 Millions on him. Time to be clever and stubborn Rafa. Just do a Martin O'Neill. :buttrock

Yes he can, and he has. No doubt where his loyalty is, he proved it last summer when he was not that popular.

But if the clubs agree...

The main culprit behind this saga is economy. The decrease in value of pound sterling has given them the chance to consider buying players playing in UK, so I blame the global economy. :p

On a serious note, I'll be broken if Xabi leaves unless we replace him by Iniesta.

Hmmmmmm ive just spoke to someone who posts on another forum an he said hes heard the Barry deal heas already been done 9m plus add ons, For my take on this i hope its with Lucas making way i know were not gonna get 9 for him but at least 5.,I hope,

If Barry ends up here with Alonso staying the fair doos,  ill take that, especialy with Gerrard playing more or less as a second stiker now, it could only enhance our midfield,But no Barry over Xabi, that i couldnt take,

I hate the way RM openly court players like that. Isn't that tapping up? How can that Perez get away with that? Fecking riles me to no end I tell you.

Xabi Alonso is a world class midfielder and Rafa  is not fighing for him to stay. I don't blame him though, I blame those 2 owners who haven't given Rafa all the money he needs. If he had that he would not need to sell before he buys. He could build quality throughout the squad which is what we need to be doing.

Problem is that players - like it or not - are merely assets to a club in the same way a car is an asset to a hire company. If the scum can seriously consider the ladyboy leavin then we all know inside that Xabi would have to go if the money was ridiculous. Madrid seem to dredge money from somewhere when they want a player that badly. Personally I'd hate to see him go - my player of the season by a feckin long chalk, way above our skipper and even Nando (lack of games hampers the lad, gotta be fair).

Yes the times right for madrid to be lookin at players in the prem, exchange rate and all that, and i think a few prem players could be goin back overseas this summer - i just hope Xabi aint one of them.
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

I noticed in that article Sabes that this player was there ,

Liverpool have joined the race to sign Almeria star Alvero Negredo, who admits he would love the chance to move to Anfield.

Skysports.com can reveal that Negredo is on Rafa Benitez's list of targets for the summer.

Negredo has been one of the real stars of La Liga this term with 19 goals for unfashionable Almeria.

In his two seasons with Almeria he has now bagged 32 goals and his exploits have not gone unnoticed.

Fulham made an unsuccessful effort to sign him in January, while Aston Villa are also keeping a watching brief.

Liverpool are now ready to make a move for the player, although his situation is somewhat complicated in that Real Madrid have first option on him until the end of June.

He was with Real Madrid - albeit mainly their second team - before he joined Almeria, but they inserted a buy-back clause of £4.4million which they are now likely to activate.

This will mean they can sell him on, with reports suggesting they would want £9.8million and it seems Liverpool would be willing to pay this sum.

Negredo, at just 24, represents real potential and Benitez is keen on taking him to England.
Liverpool interest

The player himself has revealed that Liverpool have made contact.

"To play next to Fernando Torres at Anfield is a dream and any player would accept that," he told skysports.com.

"But I prefer to talk about reality and I have not spoken with Rafa Benitez, but I do know that some contact exists between the clubs."

Negredo concedes that Real Madrid will ultimately decide where his future lies.

"My future depends on Real Madrid, but I believe that this summer I will be out of Almeria," he continued.

"I am grateful to Almeria because they have given me my chance to play in the Primera Liga.

"But it is logical that I am interested in playing in the Premier League and especially Liverpool.

"I believe that playing in England would be a great chance for me as this league is a sensational place for forwards."

I hope it doesnt become a bargaining factor with them for Xabi, with the lads contract already being owned by them :no
