But what has he actually said that's so upsetting? the odd quip to say he feels he is playing well, that he feels he has a legimate shot at being in the national side. It's no big deal. It's not like he hit a teamate with a golf club is it? I think Bellamy might have got less grief for that than Pennant gets for a few brash comments to the media.

I think he feels grateful to be playing for us, and I don't think he'd dare step over the line with Rafa.

I don't know what makes you suggest he might.

Just a hunch, mate. I think Bellamy went the same way with his golf club antics. Anyway, I hope he doesn't. And I hope he continues his form and gets better. I'm content with him at the moment, and I've no reason to slate the fella, to be honest. Maybe a wee bit more composure finding that final ball will earn him a bit more credit from his detractors.

stop talking to the press
focus on your football
dazzle on the right wing to your best
leave the opponents sprawled

Is that a poem ?  :Oo:

Jermain showed he still has a fair bit of maturing to do.

I saw a clip of the other players when he did it and they all cringed.

He will learn though.

He looked a bit off the pace aswell yesterday. Stupid thing to do though for his sending off. Imagine if that was in the knockout stages.

I think Pennant showed yesterday what will happen when he doesn't get much of the ball and tries to put in hard work. Most of the challenges were stupid and not that dangerous or cynical, he simply tried to win the ball when it wasn't there to be won (as did others I might add) His final foul was plain stupid, a no win situation and he still tried to win. I think Benayoun should be given a run in the side if that's what Pennant's going to do if he can't get enough of the ball.

pennant's gone and opened his mouth again...

tbh the guy's really getting on my nerves now. he sounds an arrogant pr!ck in thus article. he did deserve the sending off, and he should admit that. and it's not like this is a one-off. imo, if he can't keep his temper in check and his mouth shut, then he'll be out of the side pretty sharpish.

One time, I saw a man looking at me, yes, with his eyes. And then, he, he picked up a tube. And he looked, in the tube, and he made the moon big, inside the tube. The moon big inside a tube! Waahaha... Aaah. Telescope.

After reading that quotes it's true I'd like to see some sort of sorry. He does thank his team mates the point they got despite the sending off, but we all could see what he explained. Different refs, he lost the temper, and he was sent off. The coach says they had talked with him, so maybe, too many explanations from Pennant but an apologise would have been the proper thing to do.

Nevertheless, this things happens in football, and he just must learn the lesson.

Where is it?

I haven't seen fuck all from the lad to convince me that he has any right to be classed as our right winger.

Some may call me harsh and point out the fact has he played well this season, but for a right winger he hasn't done enough for me. I'll accept he had a brilliant game against Derby on the left and the right, but they were not exactly world beaters were they?

He still doesn't try to take his man on enough for me and his passing is still woefully inadequete for Liverpool. He can cross a ball, yes, but how many crosses actually look dangerous when he floats them in?

I want a right winger to fly down the wing, beat his man, get to the byline and whip the ball in for the strikers to attack.

not this bolloc'ks.

Thats because I called it before he signed and you can't bare the thought of me being right.

You bang on about his crosses, you're slagging the wrong part of the team, you should be slagging the forwards who don't get on the end of some of the most inviting crosses I've seen from a Liverpool wide player in years.

Basically, you're again chatting completely and utter rubbish.
