That was nerve wrecking. Not that Lille deserved to go through though.

You laconophile.  :D

It was a good win and as I mentioned before it's very good to see the team playing with some passion again, if they can continue like this then maybe we have a chance of 4th but i still think it might be too late.

Because we had no control in midfield.. and the back 4 all had to HOOF it as theres no one coming deep in central midfield to take it off them.. so possession lost, opposition then attack.. continuous pattern as it has been all season.

Against a decent team we would have been punished.

Delighted we are through and loved our formation in the first half, but why was it changed? The players retreated and invited pressure, best performance Ive ever seen from lucas the first half he is useless alongside Mascherano.
If we want to get top 4 *out of our hands now* and continue in the Europa League then that formation is the way forward.
Well done Babel your improving with each passing game.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

solid performance i'd say. while we were quite nervy towards the end, we were playing nice passing, flowing football. eh, well at least for the majority of the first half. :D  nobody say we turned a corner in this game, cause everytime someone does that we always lose the next game :D  but it was a better showing than in previous games. and we should just remember the positives from this game and start with a fresh new game plan against the mancs. we still have to tighten our defense, to be honest, they had two or three clear cut chances and in the face of more clinical opposition, we would have been singing a different tune.

once again gerrard and torres made the difference today, no point in arguing.

Are you thick? Lille are a decent side. They're no push-overs. Top class performance from us against a solid enough team. 3-0 and you're still crying. What a knob.
