The fact Klopp named the same starting 11 for Wednesday/Saturday gives us a big clue for the Tuesday lineup. You'd think he uses as few of those players as possible.

I'd guess Kelleher, Williams, Tsimikas, Konate, Gomez/Phillips, Morton, Ox, Minamino, and Origi. With regulars filling in the gaps but only playing 45-60 mins.

Shame Milner is suspended and Jones is still injured. Expect Keita to get some game time too coming back from injury.

I'd rather see us loose so the ***** in atletico madrid don't go through. Can't stand seeing them play like they do when they have quality to play a fair game. Their players and manager deserves to be banned a year or two so they get their act together.

As much as I detest Simioné I would prefer that we win and get maximum points. Klopp has hinted that Original will start. Ox,Tsimikas, Minimino I guess will figure as well.  Should be interesting. Milan are having a good season.

Liverpool team news
Starting XI: Alisson, N. Williams, Konate, Phillips, Tsimikas, Morton, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Salah, Origi, Mane.

Subs: Kelleher, Davies, Fabinho, Keita, Gomez, Robertson, Matip, Dixon-Bonner, Alexander-Arnold, Norris, Woltman, Bradley.

8 changes but still a decent team although that midfield could be the achilles heel

We might get a result especially with the three up top... the legend to get a brace tonight (please!)  :buttrock

Sensible line-up, we don't need anything from this game but we do need to rest players. We did look a bit leggy against Wolves so the rest will be good for our players.

I just wonder why Kelleher never starts in these games. The lad is a good keeper and should be given more starts, at least in not so important games. Also, Keita on the bench is a weird choice. Unless he's not fit enough to start, he should have played instead of Mane or Salah. This way the midfield is a bit weak.

Konate has been a rock in defense tonight

Considering the line-up that was a great first half, totally dominant and unlucky to concede that goal. As mentioned above Konate has been fantastic but also the Ox I think has been superb in midfield. Morton was pretty good as well and Minamino not bad either. I know the game doesn't mean much but I hope we win.

These are the top team of Seria A, what an awful league it is, on par with Portugal or Holland. Outdone by the likes of Morton, Nat Phillips and Williams. No disrespect to either of them they were great today but they probably didn't even have a total of 3 games between the three of them until today this season.

Anyway, glad we rested almost everybody and still managed to get the win, I'm sure Klopp would be very pleased with that. First English team to win all games in the CL group stages as well, not bad. And it was a tough group too, in fact they said it was the group of death. Death for everybody else maybe  .

Good win considering the changes and the fact Milan are top of Serie A. The pressure was off us which may have helped. We can set the CL to one side now until Feb
