Why the difference between home and away ? - The turn comes with b`burn match ?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Thor Viking » Thu Oct 28, 2004 9:30 am

As far as I know LFC hasn`t won away so far this season. Why is that ? I mean - wot`s the big difference between playing home and away ? If you play your kind of football - regardless of who you play against - shouldn`t that be good enough to win away too ?
As LFC aims at the top - they have to win matches not only at Anfield. Hopefully the turningpoint comes saturday vs B`burn !  :D

We won 4-2 at Fulham in the league, and 3-0 against the Millwall nutters.

Also, with both Blackburns pathetic fan base and the fact we have 8K tickets, Saturday will be like a home game as well.

Regardless of what people say, there is a clear difference for all to see between home and away games.

Don't see the diffenrence in the way team play, the way teams like Newcastle(under Bobboy Robson) made St James Park a fortress but couldn't buy an away win.

I think the difference is in the players heads : when the national teams play champ.ships there`s only 1 team playing at home ! But they don`t always win the champ.ships !

So I think the descision is made beforehand whether it`s possible to win away or not !! They have made up their minds!

You are more comfortable at home, its like going for dinner at someone elses house, never as relaxed as eating at home
OK that was a really poor analogy but home is home :Oo:

But maybe the food tastes better away !? If you win away too - aren`t you considered a better, more difficult team to play ? ???

Oh yesh.

I like Blackburn away, seem to have a pretty good record there from memory, and we get the whole of the end behind the goal.

Got one of those Zafira's from the hire place, so seven of the boys, half a kilo of green and a couple of cases of stella will be winging their way up the M58, over the M6 and down the M65 to sunny Blackburn.

Anyone else on the way saturday ? ? ?

Blacburn won't lose 4-0 for the third time in a row. They will put up a fight but I do not expect them to beat us. Our Fulham victory has boosted the confidence of our players on the road for the season imo. Our players are now more confident of themselves then they were at the begining of the season.
