Right midfield definately and probably left midfield as although riise has done a very good job there this season I think a dedicated winger on both flanks is very improtant

I dont think we have good enough cover in the managers position, just in case Rafa gets a ban.

i think the first team should be like this

kepper - reina
left back - rijse
right back - fininnan
sweeper - carragher
sweeper - hyppia or milito from zaragosa
midfield - gerrard
midfield - pablo aimar (if he will come)
right - to buy someone
left - luis garcia
striker - morientes
striker - to buy someone

madness. aimer and gerrard both in centre would be a disaster, we need a holding player so stevie can make his runs forwards

Hamann would be best as Gerrard's MF partner.Ever occur that Gerrard often scores when Hamann plays because Hamann provides efficient cover for Gerrard to go attacking.

Left Midfield (Riise although really good this season, cannot take on defenders in the prem.)
Back up striker
Goalkeeper
Center Back backup.
Left Back (Riise can play here though, and overlap the left mid) Back up.
Right back Back up

We have been completely destroyed by fast and technical players on several occasions this year. There is no way we will go into the season with

Finnan-Carra-Hyypia-Traore

as our preferred back 4

The Echo has said Rafa is trying to bring Mark Gonzales .Would he be any good because he is a RM and we need a RM.Good player or not have never seen him play.We are trying to loan not buy.

FW: Cisse/Morientes

Back midfield line(Finnan,Nunez,Hamann,Risse) would have to retreat to the DEF lines for cover up.Thats why I would like a new defensive player in the left such as Zenden.Traore has his limits although he has improved this season.True,the back is efficient enough but not sufficient in case one is unable to play.
