I totally agree with you too supersub, although for me it seems the only way for me to get a ticket by paying over the face value, that is if i can GET one and if I can Afford it?  :)

You editted that post pretty fkg quick didnt you?

What he said was, 'If people want to see the game, they pay the price and buy off the black market - whats wrong with that?'  Then he edits it then psost below that he has 2 spare tickets. ...... what a p.rick.

Mys response to his original message was:

Dilbert, the point you miss for whatever reason is that had the tickets been more fairly and properly distributed then folks wouldnt need to buy them off the touts and lowlife ex-shareholders.

Anyway, its so rare that Mancs need to buy tickets for finals, what the fook would you know about it?  :rasp

You're right. He said that and then edited it.

It keeps astonishing me while true fans are paying indecent amounts and HOW MANY people that have no scruples have tickets to sell.

I think Supersub's idea is sound and hopefully the club will do their job to track this people without scruples.

I've got one. Booked on a day trip, although with the times of flights it can hardly be called a day return. The price of a single for the one night trip is £849. So with the flight only £559 that's nearly £300 for a room 60kms away from Athens.

I sold mine as I was lucky enough to win one in the pools ballott........

for £43 (cost of ticket) to my mate who goes the game with me. He booked his flight with the club there and then - £600 all in. I'm getting married in 3 months so can't afford it tbh................................ crestfallen doesn't even describe, but a Bravia and PS3 and a guarantee that I'm going to all finals evermore has eased the pain a touch...... :(

I received three in the ballot, seems if you had a group of linked cards and one was drawn out then all the group got one two. As it happens I have one spare as I cant afford to take my son with me this time though he did go to Istanbul with me. I'm flying from Liverpool on Wednesday morning so could meet up then though am based in Yorkshire if you want to pick it up sooner.

So a local gets tickets and you begrudge him not selling them at face value? Tickets you would never have got of course?

Supersub - and you have bought a ticket at inflated cost and are then going to report the guy?!!!

Anyone else read Parry's latest message on the official site. Brilliantly written, just 7700 tickets to go around. 1 in 3.5 as I originally had suggested were the odds.

Of course you muppet, it is a) ILLEGAL and b) bang out of order.

£1500 for one ticket is a joke, all because one guy wants to line his own pockets because of his own greed.

If I had a ticket and couldn't go I would sell it at face value to a genuine Liverpool fan,one that I know is going to Athens, not charge them an arm and a leg.

Any true football supporter should not be profiting from the misery that has occured with our ticket allocation. If youve got a spare charge what you paid for it, these people are just denying genuine and loyal supporters the chance to see our beloved reds. Or just do what i did when we played brugge at wembley, i had a spare and gave it away for nothing.Made me feel great

I can't go to athens, would love to but circumstances and finances say otherwise.

3 of my mates are going, all got tickets as they went to the 7, well 6, but bought gala home game tickets for £6 on their fancard and never went to the game. But they been to 2 away, and have been following the reds for years, understood the system and exploited it.
(and no they;re not season ticket holders - them and me have been waiting 5-10 years+)

It's easy to hate the guys who got the tickets early (uefa and that) but everyone can apply for them and if you do and your team doesn't make it then what would you do? Keep them? Don't believe for a minute you would. Sell them at face to a rival team? Don't believe for a minute you would.

I'm sure all the people who didn't have the belief or the foresight to buy tickets at the start of the season are the same ones kickin off now. What I'm sayin is it's right to complain when you have 6 and no luck in the ballot and it's easy to slate the sellers who don't want to go but seen a chance to make a few quid.

But we got an allocation and the club have split it and sold it as they saw fit.

Same thing happened 2 years ago and we still had more fans in the ground and the same will happen this year, i'm sure.

If you really really want a ticket you'l get one, no matter the cost. The games all about money now and unfortunately we're all just seen as pound signs. So forget the gripes and get on with supporting the boys on wednesday.

Speak for yourself mate, I personally wouldn't ask for 10 times the face value of a ticket even if it was won via the UEFA ballot. Even if we didn't reach the final I'd probably end up going to the final or find someone who supported that club, or find a mate who wanted to go. No way would I do what these guys do, you may have no boundaries but I do.

You may be as cynical as that, but it's bang out of order and illegal.

I particlularly dislike this part of your post:

'It's easy to hate the guys who got the tickets early (uefa and that) but everyone can apply for them and if you do and your team doesn't make it then what would you do? Keep them? Don't believe for a minute you would. Sell them at face to a rival team? Don't believe for a minute you would.'

Like I said, speak for yourself mate, but if everything in life was about money, what would life be. Where's the decency in doing what you suggest? I hate the fact that these people are trying to line their own pockets off the back of desperate fans.

Like grudge says, 'Its an unwritten rule that a fellow fan should not profit from another no matter how desperate times are'.

and I completely agree with that.
