This is a circus

This is what concerns me too. There hads been no mention that Rafa was involved in any talks late last night. I am concerned and would like to hear what he thinks. He is a strong minded man and I would hate to think he has felt undermined by the most recent events. I am sure he had that 35 million spent in his head by 6pm yesterday.

Lets hope we can put this "circus" as St Michael put it to bed, and start concentrating on the TNS games now.

You were working as a captain at a football club.
When I met you.
I picked you out, I shook you up, and turned you around
Turned you into someone new
Now five years later on you've got the world at your feet
Success has been so easy for you
But don't forget it's me who put you where you are now
And I can put you back down too
(Parry)
Don't, don't you want me?
You know I can't believe it when I hear that you won't see me
Don't, don't you want me?
You know I don't believe you when you say that you don't need me
It's much too late to find
You think you've changed your mind
You'd better change it back or we will both be sorry
(Parry)
Don't you want me Stevie? Don't you want me oh
Don't you want me Stevie? Don't you want me oh
I was working as a captain at a football club
That much is true
But even then I knew I'd find a much better place
Either with or without you
The five years we have had have been such good times
I still love you
But now I think it's time I lived my life on my own
I guess it's just what I must do
(Parry)
Don't you want me Stevie? Don't you want me oh
Don't you want me Stevie? Don't you want me oh

Love it Lynds, maybe we won't have to wait till next year, you never know what tomorrow could bring....or January!

Couldnt agree more St Mick,
Ive never thought there would be a day when im actually having to wonder whether a player of Stevie G class staying at Liverpool is a good or bad thing for us

Agreed. We need to know what RB is thinking. If SG is gone, i am sure we have no problem replacing him but if the Boss is not happy with this saga and decide to move on, that will be the end .........
BOSS please make a statement.

I'm sure it'll be coming just give it some time, probably when he signs his new contract.

I say STILL SELL HIM!

Take the cash now while the pots hot. He's obviously not committed. Has hinted at exiting two years running. How can you have your own captain not showing committment? Can you imagine what's gonna happen if we have a poor season this year? Same bloody thing..an Owen situation will occur again

And he's taking the mick big time as well as making everyone at the club look silly.

Seems to me he had a sulk on because Liverpool didnt make him a priority in their contract talks. He is a big time charlie for sure, and when things do go how he expects, he spits his dummy out. I dont like this side of Stevie G or the fact that he just cannot make his mind up. Despite him being a difficult guy to please and being a complete pain in the :censored: I was made up with the news today. God hes hard work  :no

Agree with both STMichael and Liamac, spot on.

TBH I think Rafa will be p.issed about all this, I personally feel that he was fine with SG going. People may say what about what he said on Monday??
Well my take on it is as follows:

When Rafa made that statement - 'I want Steven to say and be my next assistant manager and maybe the next manger if i leave' (paraphrased btw, but you all know what I'm on about)
Half way through the statement Rafa looked down at the table, and to me this signifies that he was reading a pre-written statement given to him by Parry/board, as opposed to saying natural, off the cuff remarks.
Which is fair enough, but what i noticed is that he said about the 'CHIEF SCOUT' at the end of all that, if anything i am sure the progression would sooner be:

Chief Scout/Asst.Mngr/Mngr rather than
Asst.Mngr/Mngr/Chief Scout.

Ok some may be thinking so the f.uck what, but here comes the twist.........

We must take into account the many reports of him not approving the transfers coming in etc seen in the media (and I'm sure CGGY clarified this a few days ago, and we now her finger is always on the pulse) for what i am about to say to make any sense.

I beleive that when rafa said about being Chief Scout, that he was actually having A DIG at SG. I say this in relation to the point above that he didnt like who was coming in etc;
Look Rafa is NOBODY's fool, and it was his way of saying..

if he stays - 'LOOK I AM THE ONE IN CHARGE HERE, I WILL DECIDE WHO COMES, WHO GOES AND WHO F.UCKING PLAYS...O.K'

if he went -  'Look SG, I wanted you to stay, but you wanted to play, scout, and manage. This is not the right MENTALITY for me, so off you go, I let Michael Owen go, and it wasnt a problem, we still won the CL, and I couldnt give a t.oss if you go, as we have MY main man XABI anyway.....cya STEVIE'

Some may some conspiacy theory, others may think its just plain stupid, but I am one for reading between the lines, and the above is what I read between those lines!

could well have a point their mate. Stevie said their was some unpleasent conversations between himself and Rafa (not a bsut up though like the press reported), and players being signed could well have been a point where they didn't see eye to eye.

Stevie needs to get on with playing football though, and let Rafa worry about transfers etc.
