You could be right with some of those signings (Cole, Jesper etc) Saying that, i would be happy if we signed Cole.

Lets hope you are not the next Mystic Meg  :)

Cheers mate, wouldn't mind Morgans £50 million though, plus Davids, Overmars and Kluivert!!!  Sorry it takes about five minutes to read but I think i've presented the idea well enough.

Dream on.  We'll be back where we belong soon enough.  Fingers crossed.

good post jonnymac, Unfortunatlely i can imagine reading something similar next year as your post reads like an actual newspaper article, are you a journalist? :D.

Very realistic, I hope this doesn't happen and with the signings you speak of we improve next season at least challenging for the title for a good proportion of the season, but it's unlikely with GH, i remain optimistic.

Great post but ultimately very depressing Johnny Mac but thats not your fault !!!!!!!! Uncannily realistic and I for one, as i'm sure you do , hope it doesn't come to pass........

I have an uneasy feeling about this Cisse, again i dont think it's his fault, just a succession of expensive flops over the last few seasons tend to cause the flutters..........

I've been banging on about Kluivet in here, out of contract and would cos maybe £1.5 million for the years contract. A proven goalscorer, inteligent player and top drawer. Davids is another excellent acquisition and would give Stevie the bite and space to operate without playing in our own penalty box !!!!

well i respect your commitment for doing your long winded posts u are dedicated :)  and good on you.

but i don't have the net at home, so they cannot really afford to be very long as all of my posts are made either in school or in work. so i have to be quick about it incase i get caught!!

p.s: i hope thats cleared up :D

I'm not so bothered you're a *coughs* fan, but more worried that you spend all your internet time on a Liverpool Discussion Board  ??? You do realise that you and cheesymanctwat owe Supersub months and months of back-rent on the basement don't you?

I fear the reason the forums are declining is because there is ***** all to discuss. What "news" there is is old "news"

-Houllier isn't looking like leaving even though he has done diddlysh1te in two seasons
-Liverpool look set to throw £14m at sissy
-Liverpool look set to play Newcastle for fourth, assuming we don't slip up beforehand
-Mourinho looks to be going to Chelski, O'Neill looks to be going nowhere
-Owen and Gerrard are the subject of more transfer speculation
-Gerrard is everyone's player of the season/favourite player
-We'd like to sign tom, dick or harry from *fill in team name*

I guess that covers 99% of topics on here :(

Your right there is nothing much to discuss at the moment, plus more an more newbies are joining to vent the frustrations that have already been vented time and time again on here.

Roll on the summer! i'm not sure i have looked forward to an international tournament as much as these Euros.

Cheer up Owzat!

Yeah, its a depressing time, and it'll probably be like a grave yard here in May and June, although at least with the European Championships we might have something to talk about.

Stick with the forum Owzat, you just know its going to get interesting again in July when Houllier blows £30million on muck and we lose to the Thai national team in a friendly!

jonnymac1979 wrote:Maybe you could come up with a scenario where we don't make 4th this season.  I'm sure it will be a good read.

Easily, let's look at last season :-

Middlesboro (h) drew
Birmingham (a) lost
Newcastle (h) drew

I believe we failed to beat any of those teams home or away last season, though we did pick up 5 points in the reverse fixtures this season. Still only 8 points from a possible 27 against those opponents in the league in the last two seasons

2004 (5 points from possible 9)

Birmingham (h) W3-1
Newcastle (a) D1-1
Middlesboro (a) D0-0

2003 (3 points from possible 18)

Newcastle (h) D2-2
Newcastle (a) L0-1
Middlesboro (a) L0-1
Middlesboro (h) D1-1
Birmingham (a) L1-2
Birmingham (h) D2-2

P9 W1 D5 L3 F10 A11 PTS 8 GD -1

No matter how you rate those sides and whether it is home or away, we have a poor record against those sides in the last two seasons. It isn't too hard to imagine us drawing or losing at least one of those games. If Newcastle pick up 1 more point than us in their remaining fixtures they will finish above us

No mate, I work in a call centre (for now!!!!)  It's a God-awful job, but just about pays the bills.

I just wanted to write a post that would get us all talking again.  It's been a bit strange around here lately.  Those Leeds fans were nearly the final straw for me....

I hope so, they're getting relegated anyway.

I know, I know!!!!  I did actually say though:

To the seven above and the rest of you, I give you this

It's just that I make a point of always reading their points above everybody elses.  They have good fair opinions.  A lot of people on here just post about Gerard Houllier and how much they hate him.  It's boring.

There are also a lot of silly polls cropping up.  I like to read most of the longer posts, but people aren't doing it any more.

My what-if story!!!

Been looking for this for AGES!!!!!

Sorry, it will put most members to sleep but I've just read it again and I'm quite happy with the way it hasn't turned out.

And I don't work in a sh!tty call centre anymore, I've got the job I've always wanted!!!

Amazing what six months can do!!!
