Postby big al » Thu Nov 20, 2003 3:53 pm

I've heard all sorts of allegations being made abou all sorts of people on this site so Here's a wee challenge. To true liverpool fans its a piece of p#ss

1  Who was digger?

2  Who was Crazy Horse?

3 Name liverpools 1988 fa cup song effort?

4 Which liverpool player had 5 Wembley cup final Appearances?

5  Which player has had the most appearances liverpool football club?

6 Name the two liverpool players who won championships with the club and later went on to win championships as managers?

7  In Which season did liverpool last leave the old 2nd division?

8 Who according to Shanks were the drury lane fan dancers?

Only eight questions so lets see who gets them all right.

Digger Barnes? I.e. Cliff Barnes from Dallas (which was big at the time when John joined the Pool).

My favourite nickname for Barnes was Tarmac: ie. the black (Steve) Heighway.

Does anybody remember the "Round the back" rap?

Not sure this is a measure of anything but here goes -

1) John Barnes
2) Emlyn Hughes
3) I can only guess Anfield rap but I don't really care
4) Ian Rush had lots of finals appearances
League cup 1981,1982,1983,1984,1995
FA Cup 1986,1989,1992

If you mean exactly I neither know nor care

5) Ian Callaghan
6) Dalglish and Paisley
7) 1962
8) No idea

btw, you can easily look up most if not all of the answers so I fail to see what this proves

Other trivia for die hard there..

1. Who were the only side to keep Liverpool scoreless in 1987/88?

2. What big name manager (who had a bad summer in 2003!) marked Graeme Souness in the 1981 European Cup final?

3. Who were the side against whom Ronnie Rosenthal famously rounded the keeper before inexplicably hitting the bar with an open goal at his mercy in one of the dark days of Graeme Souness?

4. Name two former Liverpool reds who almost won a Spanish Championship medal last season?

5. What (now defunct) award did Ian Rush win in 1984?

Great fun...we could be here all day!

James turned s##t, Westerveld struggled with crosses, Babb was highly regarded before he arrived.
