From Liverpool's website: "Liverpool FC confirmed this afternoon that Newcastle United have accepted a club record offer for the transfer of Andy Carroll. The club have been given permission by Newcastle to discuss personal terms with the player, who will now travel to Liverpool for a medical.

i was thinking the exact same thing, sevilla want rid of him cause of his wages, and hes wanted to move to a bigger club for a few seasons now. Hes cost a skipfull of cash less than Carroll ffs

sorry but how do you know what his value is?

He has a reported 30m euro buy out clause, but sevilla have been looking rid since the summer so would want considerably less, they reported on Revista a few weeks back that Sevilla would accept any half decent offer for him and he was more than willing to move.

By the way, it seems pretty freaking obvious that there's almost no chance that Torres stays now...would we be splashing all of this money around if we weren't selling him?

The FM player in me is salivating at that £50m...but would NOT immediately send 40 of it away for one player!
