Just thinking of the cost of running all of required private jets is mind-boggling!

Well all the paperwork needs to be signed by both parties and sent to the FA. I don’t think a medical HAS to happen before the deadline and the contract could state “Subject to medical”. I think that’s right.

Realistically... lets just say 30 million plus for Carrol... when we could pay 10 million for Cole..

A comprimise, but one that could work?

would rather have ngog than carlton cole.
at least ngog might turn into a player under the right coaching.
carlton cole is such a waster and still cant get the images of him out of my head the other week celebrating an og like he just scored a 30 yd overhead.
players like him belong at west ham and the championship and no where near liverpool.

Andy Carroll would be a great addition lets face it we have to accept torres has gone, Carroll and Suarez upfront will be a great combo.
And will be a handfull for defenders.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

thats pretty much it redman.
suarez still doesent have his work permit till tomorrow so hasent effectively signed on the dotted line and as long as a club submits paperwork to the fa before 11pm tonight all is good.
pretty sure the same thing happened with berbatov when manure signed him.

Newcastle are takin' the pi$$ though, holding out for more than 30M, eh ? He's not worth that....
AND, he's injured - why would we risk 30M of whatever we get for Torres on Carroll ? Did we not learn lessons from Aquaman ?

I can't believe they didn't accept £30m to be honest, especially when you consider what rooney went for at a younger age.

Looking at it from Newcastles point of view.. they want to stay in the PL and will lose a lot more than 30 million if they are relegated because they sold him. They dont really have another goal scorer to fill his shoes do they?

risk worth taking i feel. we're desperately short for cover at the left side and i honestly feel for the time being, a striker is not exactly needed provided we have the midfielders to chip in their fair bit of goals.
