I'd go for the 40 mill plus Anelka, rather than the cash only of 50 mill.

No fking way. Anelka is worth maybe 5mil at most, probably 3.5. 50mil plus Anelka or fk off Chelsea.

As for Bent at villa.. we'll your talking about a manager who paid 12mil for Diao. I don't think he can be used to justify anything. 

Diao was about 5 million mate, Diouf was about 10 i think.
Bent was overpriced but will get goals.

I would take Anelka all day, he will come in and shouldnt need time to settle etc. Still a top player and will have a couple of years left at the top i think.

No id take the 50, get someone else signed up before then (maybe Young) and id play Kuyt and Suarez up front. Even if we kept Kuyt on the right id stick Pacheco in the 1st team.

I think if we can get 35-40 plus Anelka go for it, if he does not get sold I hope he bangs in lots of goals and we sell him in the summer for more. If we sell him in the summer surely that means we can spend it in the summer without affecting the fair play rules. We may well then be one of only a few clubs spending this summer.

Whats with all you idiots saying 35-40mil plus Anelka. FFS 50mil should be the minimum, if we keep him till the summer thats the min that will activate the release clause so the fact that they are pushing for him now when we can't get in another striker means 50 should also be the min to consider a bid now. Stop undervaluing him!

No id take the 50, get someone else signed up before then (maybe Young) and id play Kuyt and Suarez up front. Even if we kept Kuyt on the right id stick Pacheco in the 1st team.

It's the end of the fecking winter transfer window mate, we'll have like only a day to sing anyone in a transfer window where you cant even find a player if they gave you a whole month. It would be a big risk if we sell Torres now in the first place, I'd sell him at the summer, but if we do sell him I'd want someone to replace him at least untill the end of this season. Anelka still looks like he can score a few goals.
