Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I loved the little sheepish shrug he gave after scoring last night.  He knew he did it the hard way with that delicate little air step & side flick thing he threw in at the end to avoid the challenge.  Glad to see him back on the scoresheet after missing what for him was a sitter last match against Arsenal.  What a phenomenal player...what more can you say?

Comes on for 30 mins and still gets a goal, There is Berbaflop and Rooney who can't score in open play against a B team wolves defence.
Just so exciting to watch him play every time he has the ball.

Its so frustrating that the best striker in the world is starved of service most of the time. Seeing him running out to the wing against arsenal to get a kick of the ball infuriated me. If only we had the players to feed him good through balls. Maybe we have but theyve forgot how to do it. Instead they pathetically pump high hopeful balls into the box for him to head down to....?
They need to remember how to utilise him quickly

Agree and I didn't like it when he did the same thing soon after coming on against Wigan and defend a ball at left back. Although it's great when big star like him running back to help defend but it's not doing to do the team any good wasting stamina to cover holes in our defense.

The team must be doing something right with him for the amount of goals he has got, Compared to when he was at Madrid and when he plays for Spain.

He's matured and grown (mentally and physically) to become a far better than the player he was in Spain.

He is a class act, no doubt about that, and we should enjoy him being at our club whilst we can.

If he stays fit then we have a great chance of Europa League, FA Cup and Top4 finish. If his run of injuries continues then we are pumped!!

Yet some want the best link-up in the side removed from playing off him......................................

What's happened to Chris Bascombe? I can see where he is coming from but to go with this headline is plain stupid.

'Torres to quit if Reds fail to make Top 4'

His attitude needs to change. In his first season whenever he was fouled he just got up and on with the game.
Something other players commented on.

Now he is moaning at the referee all the time and his body language is poor. Probably frustrated by the lack of form both for himself and the team.
