yes ... surely as quality cover for injuries / suspensions to your back line.  he may be the wrong side of 30, but at the same time, he is a seasoned international, having played at the highest levels for both club and country and as has been mentioned before, he is surely much better than the likes of traore and biscan who are error prone (errors cost goals and goals conceded mean points dropped.)  indeed, gh should have seen the error of his ways when he had to play diao out of position at right back due to injuries.

but houllier is someone with very good memory, so babbel may well be on his way out - cross him at your peril and babbel surely did so when he was subbed in a match vs villa. babbel didn't like being subbed and stormed into the changing rooms.

in addition to that outburst, he was red-carded in a reserve match.

Just take him back as a squad player, i reckon... He managed a couple of goals from set-pieces for Blackburn, thus he may still be useful not as a first XI, but as a back up...furthermore, from the several times i've seen him in action for Blackburn, he's definitely better than not only Biscan, but Henchoz as well....

From what I understand, Markus has made it clear that he would love to play for Liverpool Football Club once more, however not under any circumstances under Gerard Houllier.

SAD, it looks like this clash of egos has cut short another possibly excellent carear.

I think he would be good to have in the squad again.  Age should not be a concern, you do need experience to mix with youth.  i'd take him over Biscan/Traore any day.

doc that was funny the first time you posted it but now its wearing thin.

And anyway Parry would not come onto a forum, that would mean listening to the views and opinions of real fans, something the board clearly does not do.
