It not so much a question of "having to resort to foul words" it's much more of a deliberate choice .

He would be a great signing and would score bags of goals but theirs no chance United would sell him to us, plus the guy isn't a spring chicken and would cost more than £10m.

Surely you would put the best for team before you're own personal views? If we do have a chance to sign horseface then I hope we take it with both hands regardless of the fact he's a manc player.

If he would add something to the team, then I don't see why we shouldn't take the oppertunity should it arise. He's a predator as you say, capable of scoring 30+ goals a season in all competitions, proven in English football 'n' in Europe, it would be stupid to pass up the chance.

Your dead right about wanting the best players, but its not just because he plays for Man United that i wouldnt want him at LFC.
Its because some players would be more trouble than they are worth, he would upset team spirit and although you made a point about Paul Ince signing it wasn't directly from united but even so if i am honest i was disappointed when we got him at the time.
I think Ruud is a worldclass striker and he would improve almost any team, but imo he would not be popular with other players, and this team that rafa is putting together is built around team spirit, and players that would pull together and fight for each other.

I would sign him for the goals that he scores, i can not see him coming to us. Could we afford his wages if he did come to lpool.

Ace,

You raise a good point there 'n' I never once took into consideration the morale of the players but surely them being professionals, I would of at least thought they would welcome someone with the stature of Ruud even if he's troublesome 'n' a manc?

I always thought that players were supposed to concentrate on football 'n' leave their opinions at home so to speak. But I all I know is we desperately need a prolific centre forward and I am concerned about signing one from the continent in case he ends up being a rather disappointing player.

:rasp well i've got a better idea

when i was bored i used to go on ebay bid things up and let some fool pay way too much -- it was like a game of chicken-- rafa should do this with ruud -- put a bid in-- rather high but not too high let chelski and real match it , bump it up just a tad and get them to fight it out and pay way way to much for him, and keep them away from who we really want :idea

Do any of you who actually WANT that equine-featured b*stard to join us remember a few months back that Everton fans were talking about Robbie signing for them? Do you also remember the laughs we all had at their expense?

Surely you can guess where I am going with this? ???

:no absolutely disgraceful, Yes I know hes a manc but all these horse jibes are childish ! Grow up! Should be ashamed of yourselves, he cant help what he looks like, We'd all love him at Anfield.......

On the end of a rope.... :D we'd 'dive' at the chance ???
"Burrrrrrrurrrrrrrrurrrrrrrrr its cold in ere!!" said the horse as it left the fridge... He has a good "track" record but id slam the barn door on this one.

I see what you mean sort of, they are proffesional sportsmen and should always put the club and the fans first.
But why sign somebody that would be a cast iron guarantee to upset team spirit ?
He is a c@ck and you can see by the way he plays that he would not be popular.
I dont think its worth putting the players in that position.

i think not!!

What are you on about?   :O

very simple babu,

some players are meant to wear the jersey
and some players are not.

i just cannot bear to watch these players no matter how good they are to wear the red jersey and so is nistlerooy.

same goes to our gerrard. Can you see him wearing blue although he's good for shi.tski?

essien would have been a red during GH's era were not for a work permit hitch and Becks could be on his way here in the summer...

People,i smell a sometimes liverpool 'fan' in the house
