very simple babu,

some players are meant to wear the jersey
and some players are not.

i just cannot bear to watch these players no matter how good they are to wear the red jersey and so is nistlerooy.

same goes to our gerrard. Can you see him wearing blue although he's good for shi.tski?

uumm yes I know that. Have you not read most of the post's in this thread. It just came out of left field though.

Btw Gerrard was very nearly chelsea player. That can't be be denied, so I not sure what you mean here.

Nevermind though its not important.  :)

i think it was monday night on sky sports 'your on sky sports' prog. when the presenter asked beagrie and claridge in response to an email, " should liverpool go for van nistlerooy" ?

beagrie flatly came out and said..." we couldnt afford him"

???

alongside man city showing almost 17 million in pre-tax profits this week, compared to our state of financial affairs. i find it embarrassing a club of our stature and kudos cant be taken seriously in the transfer market. it seems.
the new stadium is obviously having its toll on everything...

as for the point, i personally dont want ruud van nistlerooy here, why?  he isnt slow but he aint much of an improvement on what we have in that respect. we have enough so-called hold up players. now we need a poacher.... if we can afford one

I woudld sign him, even if he does play for United, I'd happily sign Van Nistelrooy for £10million. However I seriously doubt we would sign him, I doubt he would come but remember we wouldn't be the first Manc player we've signed, does Paul Ince ring a bell?

I also wouldnt want RVNR but to say he is just another hold up player and not an improvement on our current strikers is miles off the mark.
If he wasn't a blatant cheat and hadn't played for United then he would be just what we need.
He is a predator in the box who is good with either foot, scores headers, has great movement, in fact it pains me to say this about a united player but he is pretty much the complete centre forward.
The only thing he doesnt have is pace, but he makes up for that with clever runs.
Van Nistelrooy i hope never plays for LFC, we dont needs players of that ilk, but he would be a major success in our system.

Surely you would put the best for team before you're own personal views? If we do have a chance to sign horseface then I hope we take it with both hands regardless of the fact he's a manc player.

If he would add something to the team, then I don't see why we shouldn't take the oppertunity should it arise. He's a predator as you say, capable of scoring 30+ goals a season in all competitions, proven in English football 'n' in Europe, it would be stupid to pass up the chance.

It is immoral but I'd rather we signed someone like Nistelrooy then someone from La Liga who could turn out to be a flop coz he can't handle the physical nature of the Premiership 'n' I'd take Ruud over Villa anyday.
