Sean-wright-phillips - He'd be so good for us

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

watched the manc derby yesterday and was obviously on a high afterwards (until our useless wasters played). i was watching sean-wright-phillips because several people on this site have been talking him up all season as a player we should buy.

i tell you what, he's some prospect. i saw him score a cracker at anfield earlier this season but had to see him do it consistently to be convinced. well he's got the lot. he plays wide right, has got pace, balance, great crosser of a ball, works hard, good technically and scores some great goals.

if this kid has aspirations of playing for england then moving to a bigger club will obviously aid his chances. he MUST be a player we are looking at surely. in man citys's financial plight they could hardly afford to turn down any decent bid for one of their top talents anyway.

Wright Phillips strikes me as a guy who will be brilliant for a side like Man City but would sink without trace at a bigger club.

Guys like Wright Phillips are two a penny: the history of English football is littered with guys like him: a decent little player who ultimately fades away.

Julian Joachim anybody?
Jolly Bob Grumbine.
