Don't take your anger out on me bro. I don't like our strikers and I'm entitled to have a go at them for never scoring goals. Goals win points. No goals no points. Morientes is pizz poor. Cisse is a league 2 player. Right now i'm pizzed off. Transfer deadline passed and well, we aint really got thet much more to offer after january's transfer activity (or lack of activity)

I think it's fair to say now that the title's pretty much gone,

Tittle has been gone for some time mate. We'll have a better chance next season but I really didn't see us challenging for the title this season.

And look on the bright side - United had an even worse time than us today. His mix-up with Van Der Sar was absolutely priceless, but only slightly less funny than seeing the miserable c*nt trudging off after his red card.

We have two games in hand to play this month, so it will be important that we capitalize in the future when they drop points.

Sabre I know your angry mate but xabi couldnt help it, if he would have hit the ball out it could have fallen to a player that would have burried it, he tryed to chest it to reina and it ended up in the back of the net.
Felt sorry for Xabi he was really gutted ran to take the 2 corners 90 miles an hour after.
these things happen we didnt concede against opitition again it was an own goal.
Im glad our lads got a rest tonight TBH im not that @rsed.
I just want to beat Manu F.A.Cup 5th round and go on a nice run in the CL.
Plus finish 2nd. Its all still possible.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

From lfc.tv

BENITEZ LEFT FRUSTRATED BY DRAW
Steve Hunter 01 February 2006

Rafael Benitez admitted to being a frustrated manager after seeing his side drop two points in the 1-1 draw with Birmingham City at Anfield, and felt the failure to get a second goal cost the Reds dear.
The Liverpool manager is a firm believer in finishing a game off and scoring more goals and believes his team need to improve in that area.

"I am very disappointed because when you score one goal you need to score the second to finish the game, especially against 10 men, and we didn't do that," retorted Benitez.

"We had a lot of chances but the Birmingham goalkeeper was fantastic. If Luis Garcia had scored from his good chance then we win the game and it is a totally different situation.

"Birmingham were good in the air and we knew that with 10 men they would be looking to get corners and free-kicks which is where they got the equaliser from."

Benitez praised Robbie Fowler for his performance when he came on in the second half and believes his team need to give the Reds goal machine better service.

"We know Robbie needs to improve his physical condition but his movement was really good," enthused Benitez. "What we need to do better is give him better service. Robbie makes good runs and we need to give him the ball in the right areas."

Perhaps I had too much blood in the head when I was watching the game. I didn't mean to be harsh to him but giving a football opinion, but you're right, I should watch the replay more calmly :) I'm angry because I really felt the weight of the 3 points in the pocket.

Cheers CGGY!

Can I just say Sabre, that while your general English is absolutely great, that turn of phrase is just beautiful.

I think that sums up EXACTLY what we're feeling right now. :)

i just watched the liverpool match on MOTD and saw fowlers disallowed goal, i dont know if it just me or not but did anyone see how uncomfortable Fowler looked when he picked himself up after his overhead? his expression on his face and he seemed to limp slightly, i hope he hasnt injured his back.

other than that liverpool were unlucky not to get all 3 points, when will we learn how to finish these mediocre (spelling) teams off? all in all no one gained on us but we gained on the Mancs, although we didnt win i happy with the point we got.

I imagine the pitch was pretty hard tonight, so landing on it would've probably hurt anyone, let alone someone who's had jip with their back.

Hopefully no damage done. To be honest I think most of the hurt on his face came after he saw the linesman's flag.

Being totally optimistic here having now seen the game I think that we've still gotta a hell of a lot play for this season and maybe dreaming but we've still got a very slim chance of the league (and by slim I mean about as slim as a pubic hair!!!) but Chelski have now dropped 4pts in the past couple of weeks and with two games in hand you just never know.
Realistically I know it's gonna be second place we're playing for but if we can just start putting an extra couple of chances away we can really close the gap on chel$ki and give old 'head up his own arse something to really think about over the summer.

As for GOD well i felt like it was still 1994-2001; it's almost as if he's never been away, his off the ball running was just class and that old poaching instinct is still there - just look at the disallowed goal. I think from that little cameo tonight he is REALLY up for it now and there could be the old robbie lurking under the surface ready to burst back onto the scene now he's back where he belongs.
