The drunk is cracking up!

Well, I'm not sure of that. IMHO it's always a good time to tell a couple of truths. It's the results what makes your rant good or bad, and had we lost in Manchester we'd hear how Rafa is cracking up.
I don't think those rants have an effect on the pitch, or not too big. Much less effect than Gerrard and Torres being missing for sure, which was the main reason we lost points alongside Keane leaving.

I respect that they said back then it was a mistake of Rafa. But for the sake of consistency I expected to see them having a go at Ferguson:
* Because he explains his own "facts" about when games start
* Because he says he spends less than Rafa, he shows his own "facts".
For doing that our manager was insulted. But it all depends on what papers you read, what you choose to twist or quote.
My option is clear, by default I trust the Liverpool manager, not the Manchester United manager. What about you?
Rafa was not genius for saying what he said, but he wasn't an arrogant idiot neither for it. He was just saying the things as he saw it. Pretty much like Ferguson is doing now. Someone saying Rafa lost the plot back then and believing Ferguson now would have to have their mind checked, as their bias has trespassed unhealthy levels.

Keane does'nt figure anymore!i agree that missing Gerrard and Torres cost us,that is obvious.but Keane is used too often on here as a stick to beat Rafa with. When ya look back at his performances for us he was an absolute joke bar on or two moments! In fact Id rather play Carra upfront.Keane ran about like Forest Gump on speed missing chance after chance then giving off to team mates! To be honest I think Rafa done the right thing.I was one of many on here that thought he would succeed at LFC..hes back at Spurs and has once again found his level!

I can see some of the psychology behind it, for years we've had to listen to Rab.C, Wenger and Maureen go at it, and by getting into public spats with whiskey, Rafa is (perhaps) saying to his players "we are the main challengers, we are united's rivals, get used to it", but i'm not sure it really suits him.

Two years before Rafa came we finished 2nd in the league 3 points in front of the Mancs and their "super squad" doing the double over the mancs along the way. 3 years before Rafa came we went a full season undefeated in ANY cup, winning 3 cups in the proccess and again doing the double over the mancs along the way. When Rafa came 9 of those same players then went on to win the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE and reached the League Cup FINAL. 7 hung around long enough to win the FA CUP the following season.
