Preview and prediction of liv v leverkusen 2nd leg

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby the return of HAS » Mon Mar 07, 2005 8:16 pm

I see it being a 1-0 to either side or a 1-1.

They have 5 players out, and there are not many teams who can put 2 past us without reply(except Middlesbrough and Birmingham,LOL!). But seriously, I am pretty confiedent that we will go through.

Am I right in saying that no one has put 3 past us this season?

i`m not so sure, that berbatov looked very lively at anfield and i can see him being a handful at their place.
i think they`re missing their first choice centre halves again and the pair who played at anfield looked shakey, as did their keeper so maybe we can get a away goal.

Bayer Leverkusen will be without Brazilian defender Juan for the Champions League clash with Liverpool on Wednesday.
Juan was forced to pull out of his side's 1-0 defeat to Hamburg at the weekend with an ankle injury which will sideline him for two weeks.

It means Leverkusen, who trail 3-1 after the first leg at Anfield, will be without five regulars for the return game with Juan joining the injured Jens Nowotny and Roque Junior along with suspended duo Robson Ponte and Paul Freier on the sidelines.

:)  COME ON THE REDS..

yay, thanks for the bit of news zara, I didn't know Juan is out now!

so no Jens Nowotny, Roque Junior and Juan!

so thats means that 19 year old focker and some other focker will be at the heart of the defence. We're sure to score

We just have to keep the back door shut, we don't even need to score in the game.

if we do that we have no problems and are safely in the next round.

we kept a good chelsea team at bay for a long time in the carling cup final.

However...........................you never know

we could go 2/3 up! who says we wont?

I still think we will go through however many goals are scored.

Their defence will be so depleated, this is really starting to look good. Can anyone confirm for me after all the '2nd' legs are finished, will they have a new draw for the remaining 8 or do all the teams know who they are playing next already?

we'll either scrape it or just go out 1-0 or 2-0 to leverkusen. If birmingham can do it, how hard can it be? ???!!! :(

2-1 Leverkusen. They'll score late in the 1st half. Then they'll throw everything at us in the 2nd and we'll hit them on the break. They'll get a late consolation. It shouldn't be too hard cos they've too midfielders suspended and there 2 centre halves are injured

i think 0-2 0r 3-1 to us actually.

If we score first, they have to score three, and then they will push forward leaving themselves open at the back.

Got a feeling Riise and Gerrard are gonna score.

Not sure which team Stevie g will bag one for though!

1-0 to Liverpool. Without their star players, LFC will make it hard for the home team to settle, and the goal will come about in the first 10 mins, then we will shut them down.

Kewell to score.

Kewell to score...now you're talking silly.  3-0 to us with a Traore hat-trick.
