To understand it, fifteen seconds after the game I'm still laughing (I tend to do that when we win, I'm like Kenny Dalglish when he used to score a goal) and i post up "tactical genius ". I then get rounded upon.

Fecks me off it really does that people think they have the superfan rights of ownership on how to be happy after we won a match. Joke it is, but just not a funny one.

It really does beggar belief on here sometimes. The team wins with a goal 90 seconds from the end, you're all up and happy and we're top of the league and you get every second poster rounding on anyone who is able to express anything other than "GET IN THERE FFS!!!!!!!!!". Yes, we all like to "get in there", some of us so badly that when we do, FFS is entirely appropriate. It is possible though to happy we won the game and perhaps wonder if there's a reason we did kind of make hard work of it.

Now for those who simply want to say "GET IN THERE!!!!!!!!", more power to their elbow. That is your right, your privialge etc etc. I have never ever had a go at a "GET IN THERE" post, and why should I? It's lovely and we're all happy. If you simply want to be happy and not even think about anything else, then peachy. Why doesn't somebody start a "GET IN THERE!!!" thread, and we can all go "GET IN THERE!!!". No doubt somebody will get really carried away and say "GET THE FECK IN THERE!!!!!" but it's all good. If you don't want to start such a thread but would like to do it in here, that's good too. I'll start it off, "GET IN THERE!!!!!!!".

If on the other hand, given it's the match thread and all that stuff and given it's a football forum, if people want to actually talk about the match, is it not OK? If it's not, I'll toddle off and start a new thread. It really is very strange on here sometimes.

Brilliant result! Reading this thread (especially second half on) was entertaining. Poor Bigmick must have typed a three page essay on why we are doomed only to replace it with "tactical genius".   Better luck next time Mick

Of course, I'm happy that we won the game but how many more times you think we will win if we keep select team like this. The fact that we won doesn't mean we should ignore the problem.

This game was thrilling and with a two weeks break, why not play your best team?

I'm trying to work out Rafa's logic for his starting eleven. I know he felt that Stevie's hamstring injury resulted from being overplayed. Torres was clearly still carrying a slight injury on Wednesday or very consious of reinjury. Alonso apparently had a slight injury. Not sure about Kuyt - must have felt he was fatigued.

I think Rafa put out a team he felt would beat Portsmouth with the big guns as back up if things weren't working out. He's definitely believes a fit/ fresh player is better than a tired/ slightly injured one. At least he was quicker than usual to start the subs although Torres should have come on sooner IMO.

I'd probably prefer him to start with his best players and get them off if we're winning - although that's back-fired on him too this season.

We certainly seemed to have a more attacking mentality today - that's the 'tweaking' I was talking about in a previous thread - GREAT to see that happen.

AND - instead of another draw we pushed on and got the win at the very end. How long is it since we've done that? Chelsea came back from 1-0 down recently, United have around 6-7 1-0's recently, many  in the last few minutes of the game.

As I said, the pair of you need to get over yourselves. Neither of you or any faction is in ownership of the right to be happy if Liverpool win a football match. I was p!ssing myself laughing when Torres headed in the winner, I put up tactical genius with a big smiley. If you don't concur with the emotion then fine. If you didn't think it was funny, and weren't laughing your head off then fine. But don't be coming over all holier than thou and putting me on a downer after we've just won.

Benayoun was great mate, he plays really well between lines, very technical player. He´s very clever.

There's small things about him that catch my eye, like four times he has cleared the ball cutting out crosses and straight away he's head down bang after it.....rattling into the next tackle. Great ball carrier too..probably the best shoulder dropper in our squad.

BM its been a long time since we have still been in the running in Feruary, I am feckin sh!ttin meself.

Ive got to enjoy the ride and not get nervous we havent got the team man U have but aslong as our team believe we can win anything.

And it is looking like we can, maybe the footballing gos are actually shinning down on us for once
