Plenty of clean sheets, but... - ...should i be concerned?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

We've had some big wins and nice clean sheets, but today against Charlton we offered a couple of the sort of chances that the bigger teams would bury.  Today is not the first time either.

Should I be concerned that we often seem to find ourselves caught short close in on right hand side (if I'm not mistaken) far too often?

here is a nice stat

in games that matter, we havent conceded a goal since the arsenal game

650 minutes of football ago

discount the galatasary game cause that was a nothing game, thus the second string team we put out.

When Dwight Yorke played for Man Utd, they could never keep clean sheets.

A clean sheet is a clean sheet, that's what counts at the end of a match.(Also winning of course.)

In any match the opposition are gonna get chances, football is like that 'no' :D,  when you consider how many chances we missed in this game alone, perhaps that's a reason for worry too 'no'. The facts are they didn't score, but the Boss will have them all sitting down with his analysis of what should have happened, no-doubt, with those scenarios.

Enjoy it, we are playing well and confidence is high.

As long as we are winning I'm not going to complain, but a few less of those heart in the mouth moments would be healthier for me! :D

don't think there is anything to worry about, our concentration may have just slipped because the match was just too easy. against a better team this wouldnt have been the case.

Flying Dutchman, I don't buy that argument. If players can't consistently concentrate for 90 minutes then they don't belong in red.  Sure, no one is perfect and all players make mistakes, but to suggest that a backline marshalled by Carragher stops caring about a clean sheet doesn't sound likely to me.

I wouldn't worry about our defence, playing on the same pitch as Traore is bound to rub off a little bit on anyone :D

pepe is making those saves again

the defence are winning those tackles again

that is why the clean sheets are rolling in again, but we don't look settled at left back by any shout, jar is a wing back, fabio hasn't settle to the defensive duties and contact side of football over here, and warnock is going down the kirland rednapp  cissie road of luck with knocks

this is an area we need to strenghen imo it can be done better that lucas neil, leighton bains is younger and more talented and english to boot 3m would be good buisness
