Philipp Degen limped off after scoring as Liverpool Reserves drew 2-2 with Manchester United on Thursday night.

The Swiss international netted just four minutes into his comeback but didn't last the half due to a suspected groin injury.

???

Well despite the fact his signing is proving to be a mistake, I must say I actually feel quite sorry for the bloke. It's not even as if he's broken his leg in the first match or anything, he's not even had any really serious injuries. It's just one after another of minor ones. Obviously the kid isn't doing it on purpose, and he must be getting mega p!ssed off. Hopefully sometime soon he can get fit, come on as a sub a couple of times and then we can sell him to FC Basle or somebody where he can continue his career.

Lets look on the bright side. His average scoring rate per minute for the reserves is second to none.  :D

:wwww He must be a real weakling though, getting injured so much, either that or out medical staff are a bunch of fecking clowns.

If that were the case he wouldn't be the only one getting injured all the time. Of the other summer signings :

N'Gog - fit and available most all the time
Cavalieri - on the bench most of the time
Keane - was fit for selection before we sold him again
Riera - not aware of any injury problems
Dossena - fitness and availability not the problem
Degen - injured virtually every time he plays

Seems to be just Degen, Torres has been injured a few times this season but still played in just under 2/3 of our games

What a waste of space this guy is. Bad luck though to keep getting injured.

When he has been fit ( not much) he has actually looked pretty useful .

don't think he likes milk so his bones are weak  :D

on another note i have wondered about are medical staff and by that i mean owen was always getting ham-string problems and never seemed to get over them very well and now torres?? it might just be the training we do at liverpool or more lightly just that as faster players they are more prone to having ham problems

Hamstrings are always going to be a problem for strikers that rely on pace as a weapon .

To be honest I was leaning a bit more towards the he's a real weakling scenario myself.  :D

Erm he's a defender isn't he, it's very possible I'm wrong though as I've only seen him play for about 5 minutes.  :wwww

It is far too early to say whether he's good or bad but he showed some ok tendencies but forget about him, once someone is as injured as this fella is then it's downhill all the way, sad but true, anyway he's earned good money sitting in the doctors office so I don't feel too sorry for him.

Have you seen that little button that says quote, you might want to try using it, otherwise confusion will reign.

ya i know it is a problem a stricker can suffer with but it just seems that are players seem to take a lot longer to return / recover from them?
