once again, sorry.  :)

Fuc'king little tool!

High flying Liverpool Football Club at the pinnacle of the premier league in what is a toughly contested and unpredictable showdown  travel to St James Park.
There is no doubt that Newcastle can do better, the question is will they perform against LFC?
The other question is will LFC perform?Fernando Torres will play a bit part if any,but all eyes are on Liverpools "new boy" Robbie Keane! Can he keep the goals flowing .or will it be stalemate a St James Park!
That was shi'te but better than nufin! :D

Sounds like the sh!te you get on footy manager in the build up to yer next game!!! :D

How about -
The Scouse Premiership juggernaut descends on Tyneside this Sunday to shit on the Geordies once again!

Maybe I missed something, but wtf is up with you lot? I have seen a lot worse thread starters than this one with no comment passed.

Anyway back to the match, I think we should stick with the same team as far as possible (depending on fitness), if Torres is fit though I would definately play him and give Kuyt a break. A good start is always a bonus away from home but especially at grounds like Newcastle where if they get a bit of encouragement it can seem like they are top of the league not struggling near the bottom.

Get the three points secured ...... then worry about how tired our players are and bring a couple off. Should be an easy game if we approach it in the right manner and don't make any silly mistakes.

0-2 to us.

good thread maypax ... id go for 0-2 Liverpool.. Gerrard penalty and Keane
would have liked to see us name an unchanged side but thats not very likely i gues... 2 games in such short period is a good ecuse for Benitez to change things around a bit.. hope we stick to the same shape though.. FFS benitez 4-4-2 with 2 wide men and 2 upfront.. keep it that way... gerrard and alonso in the middle ... wanna play mascherano i think the best thing to do would be to give Alonso a rest and have Gerrard/Masch in the middle.. wouldnt mind Elzhar for Benny, maybe Babel for Kuyt or Arbeloa if hes fit again to get his spot back... but please o please no funny picks like Lucas, Ngog, or Keane or Gerrard on the bench... must win game as Maypax said because from here on any slip could cost us dear.. pressure is on us because until Both Chelsea and Manutd slip, we cant afford to do so.

Is this the 1st time a fit Michael Owen faces Liverpool?

Hope he has a sh.it day?

Maybe we are out of our slump now and hopefully we can go on a mega run and batter everyone..

I beg to differ on torres, since we are playing them at st. james park. I wouldn't start him up but i would certainly have him in the final 20 minutes or so.

Kinnear would certainly tells every man on his team to mark keane, gerrard, riera, and of course torres including playing school boy tactics such as "go-f.eck-their-hamstrings" kind of play. I certainly do not want to risk torres on this. Remember, torres holds the success key for the second half of the season and we cannot afford him to be injured anymore.

Maypax what is your record!  :p .

Im going to go for our first 4 goals scored in a season.  I know the score will be 2-0 or 2-1, but I'm in a good mood so I'll get a bit carried away and say 4-1

Me too. The worst being in the Title. Liverpool V whoever and then

Discuss.

And yet this one is being scrutinised. Get a grip folks, ive seen better yes, but I have also seen many worse half @ssed attempts at match openers.

Shame on you red, one of your fellow mods have offered worse than what is on offer in this one.

Saint, Kharhaz, i started the thread with the first 2 lines of the post in the first post i made and was updating it as time and went on to take another 10mins to finish it. i didnt do the usual method of typing everything out before creating a new thread because i didnt wanna have a situation where 2 of the same match threads were created then it would be kinda troublesome for the mods as they would have to delete one. so i posted mine first before going onto other forums to look up info and injuries. trying to be considerate but it backfired.

There are people who like to criticise others for something they either are incapable of doing or too lazy to do themselves.

I wouldn't describe them as easy at the moment, Little Joe* :D has got them playing reasonably well and they've drawn away to Chelsea, beaten villa and spudz at home, and beaten pompey away in recent weeks

But they are liable to conceding goals, five in their last four games. We won their last season in optimum circumstances, but we've lost every other visit in the last eight so we should be wary

last eight visits to SJP

07/08 won 3-0
06/07 lost 1-2
05/06 won 3-1
04/05 lost 0-1
03/04 drew 1-1
02/03 lost 0-1
01/02 won 2-0
00/01 lost 1-2

*play on 'Big Sam', although there was a Big Joe as well as Little Joe in 'Kelly's Heroes' as I recall. But since fat sam was aka Big Sam, I leaned towards 'Little Joe' as big didn't exactly work out on Tyneside

I'd give Torres a game if he's fit, either start or on the bench. We've not long until we start playing the big guns again and he needs to find form as well as fitness. We may well need him to face Real Madrid and I wouldn't want that to be only one or two games into his return.

I would stick with the back four as was vs Bolton unless Arbeloa is available again and then him replace Hyypia (pace) and Carra move to CB. I'd be tempted to keep the rest the same unless Torres does start and then move Kuyt to the right and play 4-4-2. I would not sit back with Mascherano in midfield and let them attack us, exploit their weakness (defence) and not try to counter their strength (attack) It's us that needs to win, they will see a draw as a fantastic result, to us it could simply derail our title challenge. The onus is on us to win (get it - onus on us!)

I am happy we are playing away as the home teams tend to attack us more and that is good for us. We should win this one easily. Owen my @rse!

Erm before anyone else jumps on the bandwagon after Saints post of which i thought was fair comment by the way. Let me just say my post after Maxis was when he had  put up 2 lines . It was made as a joke. As im sure Reds37 was when he questioned the 2 lines. It was not till sometime later that Maxi actualy put the rest of his words into his thread starter. Maxi knows this was a laugh i was havin with him an after kindly tellin me to :censored: off of which he removed . There are no problems with Maxi an me. So dont let this thread with some saying we are critisising him become one.

ok lets bury this and talk about the match. i have no probs with Nanny and i misunderstood her so that bit is solely my fault. i should have known better that she was joking after all she has made numerous death threats to me none of which has sufficed so far  :D  Nanny is really a nice person everyone knows that except Petar and Petar2 and Sandokan or whatever.

i dont have a good feeling about this match honestly....i feel we're capable of losing 1-0 or wining 1-2. with just 19 games to go its a must to give all and show no mercy for we'll be shown none. id go with a 4-4-2 if Gerrard on the right and Mash to partner Alonso in the middle. Keane to play upfront with his partner. defence...remains the same. ive never seen our defence play so high up and attack so much except in the Bolton match and if a repeat could be done, we have a huge chance of winning. Owen's pace could worry Hyypia though.

for Newcastle, Jose Enrique damaged a calf in the warm-up, Mark Viduka tore a muscle, Habib Beye has a suspected fracture and Sebastien Bassong was sent off. so they all are gonna miss the game which is good cause Viduka is a player who has often tormented us in previously.

Newcastle (from): Given, Coloccini, Gutierrez, Butt, Guthrie, N'Zogbia, Duff, Owen, Harper, Taylor, Geremi, Edgar, Xisco, Carroll, Ameobi, LuaLua, Gonzalez.
Liverpool (from): Reina, Carragher, Agger, Hyypia, Insua, Alonso, Mascherano, Kuyt, Gerrard, Keane, Cavalieri, Darby, Babel, Benayoun, Lucas, Ngog, El Zhar, Torres.

according to BBC, Torres traveled and is a sub.
