New liverpool song

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby cheesecakery » Mon Sep 08, 2003 6:23 pm

i know , ive got a great idea ,
i thought maybe cus supersub is p#ssed of with us singing
boring liverpool songs like:

Liiii....ver.....pool...Liiii....ver...pool..Liiiii......ver.....pool...Liiii....ver....po

then maybe we could make up some new one jazzy ones to get our team really roaring back to the top of the league ,
:D
to the tune of D.I.S.C.O we could sing

L.I.V.E.R.   P.O.O.O.L.
L.I.V.E.R.   P.O.O.O.L.   etc etc

or

to the tune of Agadoo

LIVER POOL POOL POOL - , push pineapple, shake the tree,
LIVER POOL POOL POOL - , push pineapple, SHOUT HESKEY,
To the left, to the right, jump up and down and to the knees,
Come and dance every night, sing with the Houllier melody.

And we could do all the actions in sync

Bloody fantastic idea , right everyone start practising
and ill see you all next saturday , we'll be 12 points ahead by crimbo

cheesey you miss the point as usual,so you try humour as usual but it falls flat as usual.
The "KOP" was,at one time, like having an extra man.The songs and chants inspired the team, drove the players to give that little bit more.It was an incredible feeling to be in amongst your fellow supporters, singing the praises and encouraging the players. The humour and passion that eminated from the terraces was unique to Liverpool. Those days have gone and listening to you, cheesey, they have no chance of returning.
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW SHINING AT THE END OF EVERY DAY.
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW AND TOMORROW IS JUST A DREAM AWAY.

Got to agree with supersub on this one. The Kop was special like no other football crowd in the world. The humour was famous and the way it lifted the team was unique. Just ask any of the old players in the past how important it was to hear the Kop in full voice. And beside the humour and the songs the Kop used to have a roar that would frighten the life out of any team-and often did. The present day seating doesn't help of course, but times and safety measures move on. But the excitement of swaying all over the place in the middle of 25,000 Kopites, singing until my voice packed in and watching a team that was second to none was incredible. As the song says, 'They can't take that away from me....no they can't....

my mate made a song up too.  i think its quite good.

to the tune of the chorus of "the leaving of liverpool" by the dubliners;

"Come on you Reds
It's often Said

Liv-er-pool is the place for me

Its not the trophies that we have won that keeps me here

Cos An-fi-eld is where I want to be."

This songs better:

We all live in a red and white Kop
In the town where I was born Lived a man who sailed to sea And he told us of his pride They were a famous football team, So we trailed to Anfield Road Singing songs of victory There we saw the Holy Ground Of our hero, Bill Shankly.
We all live in a red and white Kop, a red and white Kop, a red and white Kop. We all live in a red and white Kop, a red and white Kop, a red and white Kop.
