Thanks Michael, I'm interested in listening to this. I wonder if it will be a typical BBC hatchet job, they did one on Help for Heroes the other week on Newsnight.

Almost every questioned answered with 'I really dont want to get into that' so its a waste of time.

I think Werner would be better served rejecting any interviews full stop or put someone
else forward because he just shows himself up by not answering a single question, and his
cringeworthy attempts to connect with cheesy quotes are embarrasing.

In fairness, he was asked stupid questions and questions that could land the club in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

He was asked 'did you speak to Rafa Benitez?' What relevance has such a question got? Benitez isn't our manager, it's Brendan Rodgers, so why not focus on Rodgers? No, instead she was trying to get some sensationalist story from the horses mouth. She then went in looking for more information about the Suarez incident. All this journalist had to do was look at the amount of dismissals that occurred in the aftermath of the incident to see that the Owners were not happy with how it was dealt with and as such made sure that heads rolled as a result.

Tom Werner is not a naive man when it comes to journalists, he knows that all journalists have an agenda and that agenda is to get a sensationalist story on their website, in their newspapers and their podcasts, so he was cautious with his answers as you should be and I don't feel short-changed from his interview snippets. It's quite clear that FSG are a cautious group of people who will be basing their success on getting Liverpool multi-million pound revenue streams in order to compete on the field, rather than dipping their hands into their pockets and giving Rodgers much needed transfer funds. I'm not overally happy with this approach, especially when clubs like PSG, Chelsea and Mna City are paying no heed to the FFP ruling. But this is the route they're taking and I trust it will have the same outcome here that it had at the Boston Red Sox.
