Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby The_Rock » Thu Oct 13, 2011 3:44 pm

Finally we have a pro-active management. This club has been stuck in the dark-old ages for a long time while clubs like manure, chelsea and arsenal have leapfrogged us.

Now its time for this club to think about itself. If City has arab owners (has anyone audited where their money stream comes from) throwing money like it is going out of fashion why can't we capitalise on our support ?

I for one would rather have my TV subscription money going straight to LFC rather than to split it to small teams like bolton, stoke and evershit.

Of course clubs like chelsea, mancity and arsenal will oppose this as they are not as big as us internationally.

And yeah...i can see why manure will oppose this as most f their fans don't have any purchasing power (filled with pre-teen broads  :wwww )

Stanley Black & Decker join LFC

31st Oct 2011

Liverpool Football Club has announced a new addition to its growing family of commercial partners. Stanley Black and Decker Inc will become the club's official partner in the tools and security categories on a worldwide basis.

Stanley Black and Decker Inc has been raising its profile globally through the Barclays Premier League during the past two seasons, and now it has partnered with one of the world's most iconic brands in football.

LFC Managing Director Ian Ayre said: "The Stanley and Black & Decker brands enjoy great heritage and tradition, much like Liverpool FC, and we look forward to working with Stanley Black and Decker on a global basis.

"Stanley is an excellent organisation and fits very well into our family of sponsors and we are proud to join them and help take their engagement with football fans to the next level. The deal comes at an exciting time for Liverpool FC as we continue to announce a number of new partners, which will strengthen our commercial business."

Scott Bannell, VP of Global Corporate Brand Management for Stanley Black & Decker, added: "We are a 168-year-old company, and we are excited to be partnering with a club such as Liverpool that was founded in 1892, and is the most successful and iconic football club in the EPL, and one of the most popular and well-known football clubs in the world. Its rich history and tradition of excellence makes Liverpool a perfect fit with our own brands.

"Liverpool's heritage as a football powerhouse, its passionate and global fan base with more than 200 fan clubs in more than 40 countries, and dedication to success, is all in perfect keeping with our strategic goals to support and increase global brand recognition and sales activities for our portfolio of world class brands.

"This partnership with Liverpool FC will play an important role in continuing to effectively promote the Stanley Black & Decker portfolio of brands, and we are excited to now be a part of the Liverpool FC family."

f*cked up big time over the Suarez fiasco. They shouldn't have let this blow out of proportion and be quite about for so long.

Very dissapointed in them

Owners have been average at best so far and I think the Suarez issue has highlighted some massive holes in their set up that need to be resolved.

Personally I still dont think they fully grasp the enormity of expectation and what they have bought into despite some nice words early doors.

Since that initial take over e have hear very little really, few tweets, the odd game taken in for the cameras and thats about the sum of it.

I would like to see much more from Henry and replace the baseball stats with some Liverpool loving and a real commitment we can see and hear on and off the park.

Monthly bulletins about club matters would be a help and in particular the stadium issue where the silence is annoying now.

I have a feeling that action (if any) will take place in the summer.

The reaction today has been a clear indication that 'words' have been said and imagine the owners have demanded action after yesterday's mess.

in a 100 years time there will be liverpool fans reading about the history of this club with tears of pride in their eyes when they read about how kenny dalglish stepped up to the plate time and time again for LFC.
what was he doing in that interview? he was doing what he`s always done defending LFC
for that someone has made him apologise?
the press are looking for scapegoats so the club send out the old proud lion?
