look at the bright side - if it goes to penalties we'll win, Italians are rubbish at penalties (how many italians in team).

I forgot Stam - I always rated him, big mistake when Fergie let him go. Stam and Nesta will shut the middle, I think Maldini isn't anywhere near as good as he was. Cafu isn't great defensively either.

Hk wouldn never track Cafu back, Risse will - no brainer who starts on the left.

Traore played great stuff in CL so far and I'd leave back 4 settled. I'd go for the same team that Stu had.

Lets just hope that Gattuso, Seedorf, and Stam all get drug tested before the match, we all know their shady past, and I for one aint gonna get sucked into that whole "it was after the match and I was annoyed, then they want me to p1ss into a cup in front of everyone" bullsh!t (Gattuso). UEFA must get their act together on this issue quick smart!

Starbridge42 wrote:Milan are the favourites to win it no doubt about it (although they havent qualified for the final yet!) but my personal view is that Juventus is better than Milan.  Milan and Juventus are both truly world class teams but we beat Juventus at Anfield and kept them to 0-0 in front of a hostile home crowd.  We can do this.  Milan are very strong defencively, as all Italian teams are, and Gattuso and Pirlo are outstanding midfielders.  Their wings are probably their weakest point but are still on par with the best.  Shevchenko up front is, as we all know, one of the great strikers of our era and it will take a great performance from our back line to keep him out.

But we can do this.  Italian teams arnt used to being closed down straight away, look at the way we held Juventus in Turin.  If we play that sort of defencive game we can hold Milan too.  The only problem there is that we lacked much attacking prowess.  If ever there was a time for every player to stand up and be counted this final will be it.  And if Rafa has ever had the chance to prove to everyone just how good a manager he is this final will be it.

Look at AC Milan, beware the might of Liverpool Football Club!

no no juventus is more inferior than milan ac

Milan are only on top on goal difference and dont forget that Juventus have a team with several new players this season while Milan have an almost unchanged title winning side (with Jaap Stam coming in tho)

but the juve one does not have valid reservoirs in park bench... e they have taken Capello in order to gain the champions and have failed. In Italy they are first with Milan  thanks to the arbitro milan is strong but minute has also much fortune...... marks to the 94 does not even play well but it marks

Ok chari thanks for that.
Anyway I would go with the same team as stu.

But I notice that when Kewell did come on against Chelski he seemed to have a bit of a free role and often found himself in the hole just behind the strikers. This seemed to work late in the game.

To me Liverpool are looking very fresh at the moment all these players coming back from injury has been great for the team. No matter what people say about Kewell he is class and to have someone like him to have in the squad when where missing players like Alonso has been very important.

Cafu isn't young, but he still runs fast... Maldini is slow, but always perfectly positioned. Nesta is Nesta. Stam isn't the greatest defender in the world, even il the rossoneri think so. Gattuso is a pig, Pirlo is a girl, Seedorf plays well one game in ten, Kaka is a monster, Dida is a monster, Shevchenko is a monster .
Brocchi, Ambrosini, Tomasson, Inzaghi, Kaladze, Costacurta, Abbiati, aso, are overevaluated.

Beatable, but it's gonna take guts to pass this defense!!

Yeah, they are helped by the medias (Berlusconi owns Milan, the Government and the TVs) and the Federation (Galleani is the president of Milan and of the federation).
They absolutely don't deserve but have as much points as us in Serie A :blues:

What scares me about Milan is Kaka or Shevchenko only need maybe 2 metres of space, which they are good at creating, and they can put the ball in the back of the net without our defence or keeper able to do anything. We will need to close Kaka down for the whole game, and Carragher will have to be quick to track Shevchenko's runs.

In the Milan curva!!!!! :p

I'M GONNA DIE :D !!!!!!!!!!

Moggi is a pig, I agree with that!
But come on, is it fair to squalificare Ibra and to show up Cannavaro's tape a week before the game? You have the best team in Italy, but I still think you don't deserve to win this year because of the (sorry, dunno how to say in english) linciagio mediatico.
Since Gianni Agnelli has died, no one respects Juve anymore, we are the Talibans of Italy!
