berbatov is out of this one too which is a big bonus for us, lennon and berbatov out will leave them really depleted in midfield

Bellamy needs a goal, you cant leave Kuyt out I would hate to be the manager.
So many options to choose from.
More of the same please 3 points.

Great that Aaron Lennon is injured also he could have caused us problems, and with no Carrick their midfield isnt so strong anymore.

it's a nice headache to have  :;): . I think, the last time there was so much good competition was in the early 90's.

I reckon we'll continue to make good ground. 2nil to us.

Why drop Aurelio?

I think he's looked better and better with each game he's played, and as a few people have already said, the defence is where consistency is most important.

He has shown signs of improvement yes, however I think Warnock plays well in our home games.

Aurelio is better than Warnock, alone he lacks trust...

i want to see speedy in action

i think that with the confidence gained from newcatle win, we will go on to win 2-3 nil. Maybe they will get a goal but i definately see us scoring first.

Think Crouch should start with Kuyt, Bellamy needs a break.....and bring on Fowler later on. With Lennon gone i think Aurelio and Gonzalez can start, and the rest as usual, if that means anything these days :D

? Not particularly.  They have adequate replacement for Berbatov and I doubt he would have gotten the start for this game anyways.

I know if i am anti-rotation (unless it really warrants it)....but i would like to see crouch come in for bellamy for this game.

I kinda feel sorry for crouch as he was in a rich vein of form for us and england...but now he can't get a game for us.

This is how i like to see the team line-up

                     Reina
  Finnan   Carra   Agger   Aurelio
  Pennant  Gerrard   Alonso  Garcia
            Kujt
                         Crouch

- Sissoko looked tired against newcastle..so rest him for this match.
-Bring on Bellamy later in the match to really kill spurs...
- Would like to see gonzales in the bench instead of zenden (at least i know gonzales got potential...can't say the same for zenden).

Maybe tinkering wins you cups but not necessarily titles???

I heard that aswell mate.

Sounded like "90" to me, but I've a sneaking suspicion it was actually "19"!!!! :D

Either way, the unbeaten run at the end of last season is included in that.

On the game itself, we don't want to see another stonker from Edman, or whatever his chuffing name is! :D

We really should beat them after our recent performances.

I'd go with the team that beat Newcastle, but play Garcia predominantly on the left, and Stevie on the right.

If our strikers click, I wouldn't be suprised at a cricket score, tbh.

i would prefer aurelio over warnock as now we are playing some good attacking football and aurelio does a good job supporting unlike warnock who tends to sit back a lot. More overly spurs dont have lennon against us tommorrow so Aurelio will just do fine

but personally I'd only use Robbie in away games alongside Bellamy.

What like against Sheffield U ???  I know it was one game, but for an away game you'd play to small fellas up top ?

Fowler would be my player for home matches and Crouch for the away ones  :nod

BENITEZ TO MAKE MORE CHANGES
By PA Sport
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez is again prepared to shake up his forward line this weekend despite the impressive performances of Dirk Kuyt and Craig Bellamy.
Kuyt grabbed his first goal for the club in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Newcastle while Bellamy also troubled the defence of his former club.
Yet Benitez, who has attracted attention for his failure to pick a consistent side, could again change things with England forward Peter Crouch and Robbie Fowler waiting in the wings. Liverpool face Tottenham in the Barclays Premiership at Anfield tomorrow.
Benitez said: “It is important if you have two players like this. The understanding between them is good and they are creating chances.
“So maybe you have to give them more opportunities, but in this case Robbie, Crouch and Luis (Garcia), playing as a second striker, are good options.”
Benitez has not picked an unchanged side for 92 matches and he is determined to keep his players as fresh as possible for the challenges ahead.
Liverpool host Galatasaray in the Champions League next Wednesday before travelling to Bolton the following Saturday.
Benitez added: “You cannot play 60-65 games with the same players. You cannot play two games a week with the same players because the tempo of football now is higher than before.
“Two days ago I was watching Arsenal v Liverpool from 1998. It was unbelievable the difference in tempo.
“They played well but it was very different. Now the players fly. You need to think quicker, run quicker, do everything quicker.”

Spurs striker ruled out of Anfield meetingSep 22 2006

By Adrian Curtis Daily Post Correspondent

TOTTENHAM have been dealt a further injury blow with coach Martin Jol confirming that £10.8million striker Dimitar Berbatov could be sidelined for a further fortnight.

Berbatov has not played since their 2-0 home defeat by Everton at White Hart Lane because of a persistent groin injury.

Spurs have not scored for 343 minutes now and have equalled their worst start to a league campaign for 14 years.

But Jol's hope that Berbatov would be back to add some much-needed punch to their attack against Liverpool tomorrow has been dashed.

There is growing speculation the striker will need to undergo surgery to cure the injury but Jol insists they have no plans at present.

I think that aurelio will be best utilised in this match against Tottenham than Warnock. We can always bring on Warnock if and I doubt it will happen spurs attack our flanks. In midfield the only player of note is Davids but his play will be neutralised by Jenas :D so I think we should have things pretty sewn up there. I would be very surprised if we did not win this game. Crouch has got a few goals but I am not convinced about his commitment he might have the requisite skill but he lacks the desire to win and is too laid back I think that is why he is on the bench. Also he does not attack the box and the ball in the way of classic centre forwards. He is not usually in the right position when the cross comes in. If he was he would be a more prolific scorer.

Please don't play Zenden Rafa, lets get a few wins first. I think Momo,Bellamy,Garcia and Agger will be rested, with Pennant, Crouch,Gonzales and Hyypia coming in and Gerrard moving to CM. Fowler to come off the bench after 60 mins for Kuyt/Crouch.

I still think Fowler is the ideal partner for Kuyt hopefully we will get to see if im right soon.
