Keepers - Whats going on?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Just seen Carson flulff an easy kick - straight to a German player, who subsequently scored! Do we have dodgy keeper syndrome? I can't think of a keeper that we have had in the last 12 years that you could even describe as 'top class'?

I know Ive been watching the game, not very convicing all the way through TBH, at one point a germen player took a free kick outside the box and he just stood there ???
Cant judge him on one game for England U21s though.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I've watched him in the last few internationals - in the last game he should have really come for a ball that got played in, which ended up in the back of the net - to be honest half his and half defences fault on that one, but shouldn't a keeper command his box?

I dunno, I have to admit, I regret we didn't get Van Der Saar when we got the chance.

Leave the lad alone!

Peter Scmeichel is seen as one of the best keepers ever and I have seen him make some shocking mistakes (one game v. Sheff Wed 6 years ago sticks in my mind).

Every keeper makes mistakes.

there's no perfect keeper... look at Cech.. beats the clean sheet record, then concedes goals against Norwich and Palace...:p

yeah, he`s still only 19 and still learning the game.
must admit it was an awful kick but the rebound fell to another german which was unlucky because it could have went anywhere, and the shot flew right into the far corner giving him no chance of a recovery. thats called sod`s law.
