i know, it all comes down to the manager, i myself have said that, but he needs help. he needs an assistant. he has formed a great team, not a good team, a great team. somethings not working but as long as rafa wants the job we need to support him.

he does need to sort out his office tho and get some help.it just seems like there is too much for him to do himself, hopefully this is the wake up he needs to get someone in.

strangely enough i actually have ore faith in him than i did this time yesterday, dunno why, but lets wait til 6pm sunday before getting the nails out and making the cross

Wow where can I get the drugs you are on mate???

They must be powerful, more happy with a Rafa who waits until the 80th minute before bringing on Crouch, yes he is a genius, it is clear to see. At what point will you stop backing him, when we get relegated perhaps. I cannot fathom how blinkered and unambitious some of you guys are, I want to win everything and with rafa that will never happen, he just isn't a good enough manager to win the league, if the TEAM as a whole isn't performing then that is 100% the managers fault, how can you argue that point??

Rafa will be gone by Xmas, mark my words

Total cr*p.  Rafa won La Liga.  Rafa can, and will bring us the league.  We are missing Alonso, and we are missing Agger.  Kuyt and Crouch aren't good enough to be 2nd and 3rd choice strikers.  Voronin is good enough to be 4th choice, which is why I think he was signed.  I don't need to say anything about Torres.

The only positions I'm not happy with at the moment are up front, alongside Torres.  Kuyt simply isn't good enough, he doesn't :censored: score!

Voronin was a bit-part player in leverkuson....so if rafa somehow expects him to lead a top european club's  (er......in other words LIVERPOOL FC) attack, he must be deranged....

We got rid of a better player (ie..bellamy) for voronin.....

I don't think he should go. What he has achieved at Liverpool over the last 3 years is incredible. To guide us to Champions League glory was amazing, and to get us to the final last season was also very very good.

Okay, the league form hasn't been great, but we are improving this year. I think we see what we win or don't win, at the end of the season, to see what happens.

I also think rafa needs an assistant. At the minute he must feel like the loneliest person in the world the way things are going at the moment and if hes not careful he himself may end up on the injury list. Someone mentioned about Sammy Lee, wouldnt be a bad choice in my opinion, he knows the club inside out. At the moment  rafa needs some kind of support and another voice to question team selections and players attitudes.

in the 05-06 season we went out of the champs league early. Last 16 against Benfica and went on a sustained prem run that put us in a very good position. I think that if we do go out of the champs league it will kick start our domestic season which i will take happily. Obviously to do well in the league and the champs league is great but realistic? I dont think so, bot until we have more quality in the attacking front. But domestically we have a great team that is capable of playing great football.

And the last thing i want to see is the manager getting the sack or abuse of fans when the team and the magagement need our backing. We are not Bolton or Newcastle we will take measured views on our team at the end of the season of the team and Rafa but until then. Not even half way through the season and a few of us are asking for peoples heads. Grow up or go and support Everton we are better than that!

The Liverpool way is to give people time and stick by your own through thick and thin and this is a most admirable trait however I feel it is not going to give us a team we can be proud of or the title this season.

If anyone seriously thinks this squad is on the verge of great things then their rose tinted glasses must be glued on.

Benitez is now on the same path as those before him, too many average players and gameplan based on caution.

I am sure Rafa will be allowed the luxury of a spending spree in January in an attempt to rescue another campaign thats will be all but down the pan. All that will tell us is that his work before has not been good enough.

Benitez is now Houllier and so we go on and on waiting for the miracle at the end of the rainbow when quite frankly there is nothing there at all.

The sooner we start to deal with poor management before the club is in a critical condition the better chance we will have to move forward and be real contenders again.

I would hope the new owners have sense to see things before they happen and in all honesty unless Benitez has a personality transplant and changes his outlook on the game we will have many more painful days ahead before the axe inevitably falls upon him.

Fair enough Bad Bob. He has made his point, and now he just should be consistent with his words and stick to what's relevant in newkit, Liverpool football club, not a foreign guest.

Like Parchpea is doing for instance, I don't agree his opinion on Rafa, but at least, he's talking about the club and stating his opinion about it.

I realise that parchpea's opinion is based on he wants watching this club playing and winning. But I don't know why he's so pessimistic about the future. We have a better squad than yesteryear, a coach that has won some cups, and got us third in the league, so I think he deserves the chance to reach June with this squad and then see what happens.

Any calls for the manager to be sacked are completely ludicrous.

Anyone who honestly believes that Benitez should not remain in charge of this club must surely expect Arsene Wenger to be given the boot by Arsenal if they also fail to win the Premiership or Champions League this year in that case as they would have failed to win any silverware for the 3rd successive year.

Does anyone honestly believe that Arsenal would sack Wenger??

Heres a reality check for everyone,  In Spain, if a club has a form like ours, the manager would be kicked out.  I'm not saying that should happen here, but you have to wonder.  But then we'll probably go out and play Arsenal of the park and put them in their place, then before you know it, Rafa is the greatest manager in the world.  Time to wise up and get the job done right.:)

Holy cow.. I have the same feeling too.
Rafa just wasn't cut out to bring us the tittle.
I believe Gus Hiddick will..
He believes in strong physical side of football..
Most importantly, he believes in good football.
That means passing and dribble and crossing..
Not huffing and puffing using defenders as playmaker...
No more plaque ball.. no more wimbledon style..
Woooohooooo
