Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

This whole saga is embarrassing to the club.  When the yanks took over the Mancs people predicted the worst and many laughed at what was going to happen at Utd.  Now compare that to what has happened at LFC.

I am not a great fan of him but there comes a time when you feel the owners of the club are just picking on him now to make him leave so they dont have to pay him off.

Is that true?

:censored: hell

thats what they said he said after the game at the weekend.

but it is sky so who knows.

Hang on, back a bit.

Someone posted that Parry had been quoted on Talksport the other day, which nobody confirmed.

Unless someone can verify that this actually happened, let's not start another thread of hysteria.

Talk sorts and sky both pick up the same story in the space of about 1hr. it was reported on both but i did not hear the talk sports one and asked if anyone on here had heard it, later it was on sky sports news. so i took it as 60% true.

F*ck me - this so isn't time for fans to be talking about a replacement manager.

This is a time for genuine fans to be asking very serious questions about our owners, and their ability to run a football club without alienating absolutely everybody.

He would love it. He really loves the club but that would be madness.  I like this attacking philosophy but his time has come and gone.

Personally i feel sick to the stomache. Now is the time for all of us to stand up to these tw@ts and make a stand . No more lets show some respect and there helping the club compete sh!te. There showing us and our manager no respect whatsoever. There treating all of us like sh!t. Wether your pro or anti rafa ,we all agree he should not be treated like this , they have obviously been undermining him since the cl final and it's working . No wonder the team have been playing the way they are lately. What's going on behind the scenes would obviously have an effect.

Please lets put these yanks in there place , remember in there words "we our the owners of the club , hicks and gillette are just the guardians.".

No offence to Lakes, but this is one of those critical times where the fans can easily become part of the problem. If we all stand together with one voice and let the owners know that we back the manager, and resent the way he's being treated, we can become part of the solution.

What I fear will happen is fans on all the phone-ins start buying into the press hysteria about potential replacements, the odds that he'll leave etc, and before you know it that's what every news piece related to our club becomes.

So, if a bloke with a mic stops you on the way to the game tonight looking for vox pops for a radio news or Northwest Tonight piece, don't give them a quote about who you'd like to be our next manager, give them nothing but your wholehearted support for the guy that's still in charge.

true but the thing is mate it dont look like press hysteria, the owners are doing this to the club, i would not be shock if Parry did come out and say that, he is just building up his money till he can off it to a place in the sun. he knows what side His Bread Is Buttered.

Corrected.

When owners come out and make statements like that it doesn't bode well for the manager. Shows they are thinking he needs replacing and our current form isn't going to be doing much to change their minds. I hear Ashley has come out and stated he always wanted his own manager, he waited until after they'd managed to push fat sam through the door though
