Him an Upson seem to be the two most strongly linked centre backs.  He has  pace to burn and I personally would prefer him to Upson.  That article doesnt mention a fee but I imagine it would be less than to sign an english player of similiar ability.  The only concern, it mentions he failed a medical which prevented a move to Madrid... what was wrong with him and has it been fixed??

He's strong and quick alright this milito boy, but also I  understand he's only 5'8''.  He's good but I am slightly worried his height could be a problem in the prem when the ball gets hoofed into the box time and again

Really havent seen anythin of him, as watchin la liga on sky they tend to concentrate on Real Madrid and Barca.
But Barca and the scum have been linked with him as well, and he's earning rave reviews in the press.
One thing i did read is that he is 5 foot 8 that is a bit small, now i know Cannavaro is of similar height but that still worries me slightly...lets hope he reads the game like Baresi did or he's got a spring in his jump like Gary Speed.
The injury that prevented his move to Real 2 seasons ago has not been mentioned since so i dont imagine that to be a problem.

His carries a huge buy-out close on his contract and i guess Zaragoza won't let him leave for less than that. He is a good defender though.

They'll probably have to let him go for less than that.   His buy-out is 20 million and no one's gonna pay that.

If he comes out and says that he wants to come to liverpool then they'll probably do business for around 9-10 million i should think, they can't really keep a player who wants to leave

No team  in their right minds would keep a player who doesnt want to stay ,  there would be no point . The player,s heart wouldnt be in it  and it  would affect team morale  .........pretty pointless to be honest .

I think RZ will settle for an improved deal and is hanging out for just that .

Actually in the recent press conference when Rafa was talking about Crouch he sounded as if he wanted more than one central defender. He also said defender's not defender.
