Gabriel milito - Looks class

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby 7_Kewell » Mon Jul 25, 2005 2:27 pm

Milito is 200 times faster than Pellegrino and can pass the ball better than Pellegrino and Hyypia put together.

but can he hold his ground like sami?  Pelegrino's problem wasn't his pace, or passing....it was the fact he would fall over like Heskey whenever a striker would challenge...especially in the air...i don't think i EVER saw Pellegrino win a defensive header.  To be a defender in the premiership you need to be hard as nails and the doubts over milito are raised here.

If Benitez is interested then I'm sure he's scouted him for some time and if thats the case then he's seen him play at his best and at his worst. If he was like Pelle, we wouldn't be linked with him.

milito offers better distribution than carra and sami, but as rafa like to play a high line, this isn't a neccesity as much as recovery pace. no, andre is the man to wear the vacant No 2 jerzy

Looks unlikely that he's coming now, Sky say he has signed a new deal at Zaragoza with a 30m euro buy-out clause. Maybe explains the rumours of us being after Andrade?

here's the news article

that's what I mean Annie Banny, we've obviously given up hope on Milito and set our sights on Andrade instead

I think that selling Baros is a sacrifice we have to make in order to strenghten the back four

i don't think many of us will shed too many tears about baros going, especially now crouch has arrived. as you say i'd happily sacrifice him for a new defender

I heard on skysports that Milito signed an extention. I guess that is that for now.

We need a WORLD CLASS defender, even if it costs a packet.
