Jesus - what a night. :D

The Chelsea fans can moan all they want, but if you'd stopped the game after Cech clattered Baros and asked them if they'd rather have 10 men and a penalty against them, or 11 men and a goal against, I'm sure most would've taken the latter.

And those 6 mins. The pitch invaders accounted for a minute and a half, tops, so god only knows where the rest came from.

Got there in the end though, and to a man they all played a part...

Dudek - 7/10 Apart from missing a take due to miscommunication which led to the Gudjohnsen chance at the end, a cracking stop from a free kick and safe hands all night.
Finnan - 9/10 Absolutely immense. Best performance he's given in a Liverpool shirt, and a sure sign that he's the man for that position for years to come. Superb in defence, and never shy to make himself available going forward.
Carragher - 9/10 What can you say about the guy that people haven't been saying all season? Got something on the ball every time it looked like a blue shirt was going to have a telling touch inside the box. A reassuringly reliable head when everyone's heart was in their mouth.
Hyypia - 8/10 Not quite the towering performance that he gave against Juve, but absolutely majestic in the air, and assured whenever he had the ball at his feet.
Traore - 8/10 Always seen as the weak link for us at the back, but had a brilliant game. Some phenomenal tackles, some good strong play whenever they had a man out wide looking to beat him, and surprisingly good, simple use of the ball. Great cross in the second half as well which Cisse should've done more with.
Hamann - 7/10 So good to have him back. Did what he always does - kept it simple, gave nothing away for free and kept Lampard quiet by picking up loose balls and playing it short out to Finnan or Garcia.
Biscan - 7/10 Battled away gamely in the critical central areas, and although some of his runs were a bit misguided when a square pass would've been the better option, he looked at home there. Passing was a little loose, but made so many telling challenges that it'd be harsh to dwell on that.
Luis Garcia - 6/10 Scored the, ahem, goal, but his fannying about just outside the area should probably have seen them equalise, and it's still a worry that he's still so loose with his passing. Some good touches on the right though, and although he's hardly god's gift to tackling, he never shied away from his defensive duties.
Riise - 7/10 Didn't get a great deal of joy on the left, but covered so much ground for the cause that you can't help but love the guy. Beautiful bit of skill in the second half nearly carved out a chance, but later fluffed his one clear cut opportunity.
Gerrard - 7/10 Passing was all over the place for long periods, and got less and less involved in their half as the game wore on. His defensive contribution was phenomenal however, and towards the end he was getting almost as many vital interventions as Carra.
Baros - 6/10 Chased away gamely as always, particularly going straight at the keeper which led to the goal. Wasn't really given much to work with, to be fair.

Subs
Cisse - 5/10 Still looks very rusty. Touch was all over the place, and didn't seem to have the confidence to try and beat Carvalho. Could've scored a couple on another day (header from Traore's cross; run on the break which petered out after a poor touch).
Kewell - 5/10 Didn't get masses to do, but played an important part in running the clock down. Couple of good touches, couple of nice passes out on the right, but also a few really poor short passes that we really could've done without at the very end.
Nunez - 4/10 Got a lot of the ball on the break at the end, but did next to nothing with it. The lack of vociferous support when he came on was a bit telling, really.

Can't wait for the final. With Alonso back, and players like Kewell and Hamann back in contention, I really can't see us losing.

Yissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss! :D

ive gotta say carra was 10/10. he kept them to about 3 chances on goal in two games!, remeber abramovich has spent 600million on chelsea.! 140 milloon to buy out the club, 200 million on signings, 240 million on wages, etc etc.

Nunez i thought did very well, he was strong and gave them a bit of a run for their money.
Kewell...awful...he has to  be sodl im afriad.

I thought biscan was a bit woeful tonight to be honest, he kept giving th ball back to them! didnt look too confident.

Did someone say that Chelsea attacked better than we did? Bollox did they? Dudek had to make 1 save the whole night and they had one other chance after 95 minutes. Chech made 2-3 saves and Cisse came close before that...oh...and we scored!!!! Attacked better my ar.se.....we were superb....MASSIVE congrats to everyone connected with Liverpool FC, I for one never stopped believing and I know we can win the final!!!! COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dudek made one save over TWO nights, thats how well they attacked.
F.uck it, thats how well we let them attack
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road
