Can you help? - Question

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Hi Folks,

Firstly, congrats on your fantastic victory in the Champions league.

Secondly: Onto the point of my visit. I am a Northampton Town supporter. One of the users on our message board has asked a question that has got me stumped, but I'm sure you can help.

The question is: What did Vladimir Smicer do in the European Champ final, that no other player has done and will probably never do again in the future?

Maybe come onto the pitch as a sub, score a goal in regulation, and score the winning penalty in the penalty shootout to win the champions league in his last game with the club.

Or has that already happened before?

That has to be it.

Scored a low shot around 30 yards in front of the most "invincible" back four in Europe?

Thanks for trying, but the chap who asked the question has now revealed the answer. The answer, and you should know this, (only joking) was that he scored his two goals on different days. The first goal was on a Wednesday, the second a Thursday.

Thanks anyway....... Have a good season.

I hate these timezone jokes.

If anyone doesn't understand,he means that the finals was almost midnight when it was Live on TV back in his place.
So,we might interpret that Smicer scored first before midnight and the PK match was after 12.00 am in his timezone.
