I hate hypocrites.
Two weeks before the FA Cup started, Benitez said he was going to use young players in the first FA Cup fixture. If you want proof you can look at LFC.tv's reports from January,8th,2005.
Had we won the fixture or gotten a draw I guaradamnte you that nobody would be complaining about the players that started. That's not an opinion, thats a motherf..u..c..k...ing fact.
Before Benitez many wondered why Houllier didn't give the "young lads" a chance because you never know when there might be a Michael Owen or a Steven Gerrard. Before Carling Cup started, Benitez said he was going to give the young players a chance to prove themselves. They did well, kept on going despite that they had luck on their side and nobody complained.
The second we lost with the young players everybody jumped on Rafa's back. Why? The man from the start said he was going to use the younger players. It was no shock no surprise. The players performed well in the Carling Cup, showed that they can play football against top sides, they built trust in Rafa. Rafa trusted them and played them in the FA Cup, they took it for granted and lost.
When we win a game then Rafa's is numero uno, when we lose then Rafa is garbage?!
IT'S NOT ****** ROCKET SCIENCE. It shouldn't be hard to understand that you can't make three steps at a time, you can't win the league automatically, you can't win every game just because you have a good proven manager.
We're in the top five with no depth in our squad now use your imaginations and imagine where we could be if Rafa had the players he wanted.
