Two injured left backs, one central defender & now Momo on the treatment table! Any news on the player? There's nothing on LFCTV as usual.

I read in the sky sports website, 2-3 weeks, but I don't think that include the fitness recovery period which may take 1 - 2 more weeks. So, absolute loss to us... hopefully SG and Alonso will not get injured.

Watching him get carried off last night I would have settled for a couple of weeks, he doesnt seem the type to get off the pitch unless its serious

Taff

I would have to agree with you on that one mate. It looked a real bad one an I thoguht the worst when it happened. I am relieved it's only 2-3 weeks (probably quicker knowing how fas Momo recovers). His match fitness won't be lost as he is a very fit guy anyway!!

Momo is naturally fit and although it looked bad, if they say its upto 3 weeks i cant see it being any longer.

I don't see us rushing him back for the derby as it is usually such a combative game, this is why the squad is so important, it has taken some of the shine of pre season getting all these injuries early on in the season and i hope it is not the theme of things to come.
remember under souness how many injuries we used to get !!! it can put pay to a season by unbalancing the team so fingers crossed

There's a plus side to Sissoko's injury, Gerrard will play in his preferred position, in the centre of midfield.

Yes Sissoko is a loss, but Alonso can play the holding role and Gerrard will have the allowance to roam, which in my opinion is his best position and where he is most effective.

his tribute on 100 players who shook the kop had me thinking that to be honest, did loads of work without the praise, but he also had to go at some point.

Which is true Im afraid

Momo looks a great prospect and already he's made an impact but Didi bought a calmness to the team which Alonso has to bring now but then its the who plays argument again.

Still complaining about too many good players is something most teams would love to to be complaining about  :D
