Just a mere sharing with friends here on my acquisitions during the past half-year.

1978 Liverpool European Cup Final Player Shirt (Unused spare shirt)
Descriptions: This is NOT a modern / Far East reproduction item, but rather the genuine unused spare kit kept nearly 30 years! The shirt is a very interesting vest-like semi-transparent weaved texture and more importantly, the presence of UMBRO collar tag with words "OSM" instead of 38/40 etc. Only genuine player shirts got worded tag instead of numbered tags.

1979-1981 Liverpool Third Player Shirt
Description: Featured in the picture Graeme Souness picking the big-ears of the European Cup of 1981 in the "new away strip". This yellow pinstriped shirt was released right after the end of 1980-81 season. Liverpool was sponsored by HITACHI between 1979-1982 (from 1982 till 1988, Liverpool was sponsored by Crownpaints). Combining the aforesaid two facts, the yellow HITACHI shirt was the third kit for the single season 1981-1982. However, owing to the facts that matches with the HITACHI shirts in used then were NEVER broadcasted to the public, there is now no hints to figure out when this yellow HITACHI shirt was worn. Someone ties this shirt up with some away matches against Soton, Sunderland, Stoke City etc. Or else this may be an unused spare third kit only.

1987-1988 Liverpool Away Player Shirt (white Crownpaints version)
Descriptions: This should be the genuine shirt of Steve McMahon in season 1987-1988, who wore the number 11. This is not a general replica because the club crest and adidas motif are both embroidered instead of embossed.
A funny shirt indeed, because of the use of white Crownpaints on the away kit only in the beginning of season 1987-1988. It was widely complained for the clash of sponsorship colour with the grey strip. Thus later on the sponsorship colour becomes red...

Liverpool 1996-1997 UEFA Cup Winner Cup Away Match Player Shirt (only worn twice against Brann Bergen and PSG of France)

Descriptions: Owing to the alcohol and tobacco bans under the broadcasting ruling of Norway and France, the Liverpool sponsor of Carlsberg was disallowed to be shown on the shirt.
Image
In our history, the sponsorless ecru shirt was only worn twice as above in the away leg.

Image
This shirt comes with the letter of authenticity issued by the club's Public Relations Administrator.

Image
Apart from being sponsorless, this shirt also has a simplified Reebok motif on the chest - with the logo only but not the Reebok words.

Liverpool 2005 World Club Cup Championship Spare Match Supplied Shirt of Peter Crouch
Descriptions: Peter Crouch wore long sleeved shirts in the two matches during World Club Cup Championship. This short sleeved piece I have is a match spare shirt of him only.

Recently there are fakes of World Club Cup Championship shirts at ebay which got the wrong patch like below:-
Image

The genuine WCC patch should be velveteen Fuse-on product instead. Moreover, the embroidered words of the counterfeit are very different from the genuine.

I sourced them from a few reliable agents in Liverpool shirts, inclusive of Colin Wright, Emmet Murphy and Gary Hayes, as well as a Swedish FA contact.
