2Match better team than Costa Rica.
3.Last 3 warm-ups registered 2 wins 1 draw, scored 12, conceded 2.
4.High-balls is their main way of attack, which is Costa Rica's weakness.
5.Won all the first games in last 4 World Cup, 3 of them won by 2 or more goals.
6.Without Ballack could make the attack more flexible.

1.Lost all 3 latest friendlies, none scored, but conceded 7.
2.Not as tall as Germany, had a tough time in the warm-ups with Ukraine and Czech Republic.

(World cup has finally arrived, first game to open up the biggest show on Earth is the host Germany against Costa Rica. Germany, under the lead of former legend striker Klinsmann has turned into an aggressive team, 12 goals in past 3 warm-ups, 2 wins 1 draw. However the defense is still under fire, lost 2 to Japan and a lot of mistakes and mis-communication were seen, and not to mention the friendly match with Italy, where conceding 4 goals in a rather helpless way. But don't get me wrong, I am not trying to say that I have confidence in Costa Rica to score, but I do expect their counter-attacks led by Wanchope (if he is match fit), would give Germany more pressure. Tonight Germany is handicapped by 1.75, needing 3 goals to win the whole stake. Without captain and attack center Ballack, I don't expect them attacking as efficient and organized as they used to be, so 1 goal margin is the perfect result, but be prepare to lose half the stake, at most.
