Us presidential elections 2012 - Republican elections

So we have Herman Cain, Rick Perry and Michelle Bachmann all out of the republican race, Thank god for that, absolute nutters, but most of the republican candidates are out of their heads. Mitt Romney is leading for now and I think he will win the nomination to fight Obama in the presidential elections in November. I really don't understand why people would vote for Santorum! I really like Ron Paul, anti war and stuff and if he does win, which I doubt, but I think some unhappy democrats would vote for him. However, the only problem with Ron Paul that he wants to audit the federal reserve, but I like him (in an international kind of way for stopping pointless wars, negotiating for solutions, etc...)

I seriously think the GOP are f*cked, sorry, I'm not a US politics genius, but after reading certain articles on the Republican candidates, some of them are just way out of their heads and this would lead to Obama winning for the 2nd term.

South Carolina is next, I've got a few mates living there, will ask them who they will vote for.

Obama's been horrible, so I'd prefer we got somebody new, but the republicans really aren't putting a super strong candidate out.  A bit surprised Palin didn't run (and glad, what a dumb sh!t).  Ron Paul says some really crazy sh!t, but his supporters are loyal as hell.  Romney looks the favorite, and if I'm honest he's who I preferred last election, and who I'm for this one as well.  He's more solid and consistent than the rest, and basically doesn't sound like he's mentally handicapped 75% of the time he speaks like most candidates (perry...).  In fact Romney figured out how to win this republican election... Just sit there and shut the :censored: up while all the other candidates make you look like baby Jesus :D

But what a crazy vote in Iowa.. Romney wins by 8 votes.  Santorum put everything he had into Iowa, so I expect him to just kinda disappear now.

Don't even get me started on Cain.

Really? like what? He has some good ideas, some I disagree with, but others like take a diplomatic stance on situations rather than going to war is a good one.

Democrats are idiots, they only vote for a non republican, and they have seen how shafted theyh ave become. And it has to be Romney... Ron Paul doesn't have the finances.

Republicans will vote in numbers, I reckon 90+% republicans will vote. Democrats know they backed a loser last time so will prbably just stay in

He's inadvertantly racist   He's also very opinionated about things that, in my opinion should be left to individuals to make on their own (abortion, gay marriage, etc.)

In his anti-war campaign he tries to claim that it's the UN's fault, and that the US needs to basically make decisions on their own at times:

"Under no circumstances should the U.S. again go to war as the result of a resolution that comes from an unelected, foreign body, such as the United Nations."

I'm not saying he's a bad guy or would be a bad president... He just says some REALLY  stupid :censored: sometimes  :D

It's sad that him being raised a Mormon affects his candidacy at all.  To be honest Mormons are pretty well known for being "the good guys."  I'd rather have a good guy as our president then somebody who's fortune increases over 50 times while he's in office (ok that was vice-president Cheney).

I think Romney has good intentions in running.  I think he's a good guy, and I'm tired of all these candidates that run and try to outsmart everybody.. They're basically tricking people into voting for them.  Romney just seems more honest and open to me.

How has Obama been weak?  Lots of spurious comments but when you consider the disasterous situation he inherited from teh worst US president ever, I'm inclined to believe he's made the best of a bad job. Cameron's in the same position.

I'd be classed as a Republican but I don't like the candidates. Ron Paul is too old and marginal. Romney is the plastic smile of US politics, and this Sacarin fellow whatever his name is.... who is he and why should he be given the top job in the world if no ones' heard of him? I'd rather give it to Warren Buffet or Bill gates than an unknown.

I'd vote for Obama to be honest.
