He always went into the elevator on the 20th floor and rode down to the entrance (1st floor). When he came home he always rode the elevator from the entrance and up to the 8th floor. He walked out of the elevator and walked the stairs up to his apartment on the 20th floor.
Why don't he take the elevator all the way up to his apartment?

The real gold coins weigh 10 grams each, the fake ones weigh 11 grams. To help you make your choice, there are a set of weighing scales. The weighing scales need 1 penny to work (you put the penny in and they work) and you only have one penny to use.
How do you choose the right bag?

scouser 'til I die wrote:you take one out of one bag, two out of the second and three out of the third. you weigh these coins and it should, if all weigh 11 grams, 66 grams. But because there are coins which weigh 10 grams, the overall weight will be less. the difference between 66 grams and the real weights will determine what bag contains the real gold. for example if the real weight of all 6 coins is 64, then 66-64 is 2, so the real coins are in bag number 2.
good one that, took me a while but im just too clever
whats my prize
