haha tell me about it. I have a league with a few of the lads here. On of the lads is Inter, their defence is a royal pain in the @rse. Trying to get past it with Torres alone is difficult.

The 2 teams I love playing with are LFC and Inter.  With Inter I developed such a set up where I could win 4-0 pretty easily.  Then the stupid patch update, no quaresma and a new formation.

that was worded badly, theres not a newkit league, by 'here' I meant in Leeds (where I am for Uni)

My mate had problems with the new Inter set up, his defence sees him through most of the time tho. Can you cope facing Inter with Liverpool? I find very frustrating getting past the defence and Ibra is insanely good

I can usually score 1 or 2 depending on how certain situations go, but I will run to the side where micon isn't, he is tough to get by.  Problem is I can't stop Ibra from scoring 2 to 3

On Fifa 08 Juventus were brilliant for me but on 09 Trez is way to slow
and the team is ageing, i'm buggered if i can find a decent team to play with.

I would avoid them like the plague so i use Valencia and Lfc, oh and Roma sometimes.

Just started playing FM 2009 and after my first season done the league and FA CUP DOUBLE. Only bought one player Dos Santos.

Torres' speed is outstanding, but if you shoot from outside the 18 or off-balance, good luck getting the shot in.  Ibra, Drogba, Tevez, Rooney, and Ronaldo all nail those shots.  Idk why Torres shoots a floater a mile high and wide.

My modem is at the opposite end of the house, and upstairs, from my Xbox.  So I rarely do live, only for downloading rock band songs etc.  This involves disconnecting the modem and bringing it downstairs to connect.  Thus disabling internet and phone.  Now while I'm perfectly fine with being disconnected from telemarketers and the internet for a little while at a time to get a game or two in, my wife isn't.  God forbid she not be able to answer a stupid chain email survey from her sister in Florida or be able to talk to my in-laws every two hours.

As for what I'm playing now.  I already mentioned Rockband.  My wife and I went into the Hall of Fame with our first band called Lovesnot.  Our second band is doing even better this one is called Cover Jeaneuses.

Fifa 09 is the only other game I'm playing right now.  Since I don't get to do the live thing I play in Manager Mode.

My current manager mode is awesome.  I'm in the fifth season and have been playing on legendary the past two seasons.  Lost the league for the first time last season to frickin blackburn by two points (too many draws, go figure)  Beat the Mancs in the CL final 4-2. 

I'd be up for doing some pre aranged games if anyone would like.  My gamertag is Mighty Funseeker (I mistakenly let MS pick a tag for me, gayest gtag ever!!!

I find Maxwell just as annoying.

My mate is Inter all the time and reckons playing against Liverpool its equal teams! reckons Torres is much better than Ibra!

If you want to give him a tough time, I find this team usually has the speed to deal with Maicon and Maxwell.  But if you hate being Utd then it won't work.  Barce is a good team too, but I suck with them.

Sorry guys I dont mean to change the subject in this Fifa 09 thread   but has anyone played any other new games lately, I got a couple over the past week:

FEAR 2 - Good game and worth a buy if you like creepy games but the multiplayer isnt that great

Street Fighter 4 - Very good game and well worth a buy imo

Race Pro - I love racing games as you may know, Forza 2 & PGR are great games but I'm unsure Race Pro cuts it against those two for enjoyment, maybe its cos I've only just started playing it but although the handling is very good I find the menu's and stuff a bit , I expected a massive improvement over Forza and I dunno if Race Pro delivers it

I saw Dead Space for £19.99 in Morrisson's yesterday, as well as Far Cry 2 for the same price. Cracking value for two amazing games.
